I did, my first time. Friend showed me a great patch of psilocybe caerulipes, and we got nearly a pound. ate ~15 grams wet one night, mild body high. Tried ten the next night and got a great high. No real indication why, so I can't point out what exactly is happening, but I can back up your story.
