I'm brazilian, and this is awful indeed.

Always wanted to be an archeologist (because of Indiana Jones) and a Scientist, in order to travel back in time.
Right now I'm officialy unemployed because my country is broke af due to bad public resources management and corruption. I'm a civil and mechanic engineer about to conclude a mastership in structural engineering in the top college of the Southern Hemisphere. I'm also an economist, with an MBA in project managemente at University of Californie, where I spent 9 months last year.
My wife works at the financial department in a public hospital and will end the vet college this year. Right now she is making like three times my income, since I'm working with deliveries and ever driving for Uber sometimes, and we are fine with this altough sad coz I have no job in any of these areas I studied.
My point is: being sad will not bring you any form of progress. You should put yourself up and apply yourself to the limits in order to reach what you've been eager for.
As time will pass you will start to appreciate the difficulty of the circumstances, and become a better person in the process.

We have a online store composed only by things you can buy by less than US$ 10 and that do not suffer with custom taxations.
2017 has been a good year in that matter by far considering we've put 0 money to keep the store working. It's not great as it used to be last year when I was working at Turner Construction in California, but we are managing to make 900 to 1700 US$ a month in liquidity, which is a lot here in Bananaland. We expect to go back to the US as soon as she finishes the vet college.

Nope. Bad asthma and severe pharmacological allergies made sure that would never happen. Had to leave ROTC in college. I had absolutely no idea what else to do.

I had very good grades so I figured "hey, I can probably excel at anything... I want to work in the film industry. Went to grad school for that but had a real-deal nervous breakdown while there. In hindsight it was fucking stupid, I was 10 years younger than most people in my program and almost the only one who didn't go to an Ivy for undergrad, and had virtually no experience being a creative and I was among people who'd been doing it for years.

Now I'm a museum tour guide making $10/hr. I'm 32. Most of my friends have made very close to their ideal lives. Even my wife.
