If I remember correctly Souther was a better fight because it had a good mix of regular martial arts exchanges with the auras/powers thrown in. Most of the fights near the end were mainly just powerups which while cool to look at, felt kind of cheap with a mediocre to lackluster amount of regular hand to hand.

Berserk is the only manga I've read. The show hooked me.

The art and story are insane. Unfortunately, Miura started young, the art isn't great until the 3rd arc, and the first arc has NO story. Second arc he added some in and it is an instant 10.

Only other anime I could finish all the way was 1979 Gundam, which I give a 10/10.
