of all the pictures in the thread, this is the one that makes me feel
i am so very grateful to be born during these times of great innovation & technological advancement
>>724686300
It is fantastic. For all the absurdity of this life the world is beautiful. I think many of our fears are of losing this comfort.
>>724683460
I don't know why but this is one of the best pictures I've ever seen
>>724685796
>not that comfy with the responsibility of studying tbh.
learning doesnt have be to burdesome. by nature it actually is purely enlightening & empowering.
i enjoyed the comfort of 100% state-funded university, and remember the evenings i spent studying as the most stress-freee time of my life. never have i had fewer obligations than dring uni.
too bad its a luxury you cant have in many countries of the world.. so far.

Yeah, I actually realized that it was not very wise from my part to generalize, and say that studying is not comfy, I selfishly formed my opinion based on my situation, but you are right, if you are studying something you enjoy, then it is a great experience.

oh yeah.
recently read something about the definitions of happyness. most people claimed it was just a measure of value in relation to people around you. but one definition caught my attention and i think its really close to the truth:
>happyness is never having to take a single step back.
i like that.

you are not alone. I constructed a small 6x6 dugout a few years back that was really just a 3 feet hole in the ground. Eventually I made a small a-frame roof on it, enclosed the sides, and put a small wood heater in it. It's water tight, but I can leave the door open during the rain/snow and feel cozy as fuck
>>724687925
nice spelling. I presume this refers to Piedmont, northern Italy?
I don't seem to have many comfy pictures saved, and most of the ones I do have feature Miku. Anyway, one of my favorite along with the song I most associate with being comfy.

just trying to offer a positive outlook. way too often the world hasnt been particularily kind to us about something and we start to believe that thing is bad. that difference is incredibly important to me because i have so much hated other things before & only after learning how awesome they are when done right i started to contribute to their improvement.

I really want to like the tiny house movement, but I have two 50-70lb dogs, two 2/3 year old kids, and a wife...no way it would work for me. I think the efficient use of space is what gets me excited.

Are you suggested that the lack of financial investment on your part added a layer of comfort?
ITT, we're reminded that comfort is subjective

>>724688460
yeah, i dont think the main emphasis is "tiny". its keeping things close and well organized.
making sure that home is a place you like and not one you break your back for just by cleaning.
i have a huge room now but theres 3 main areas - and while i am cooking/eating/working i am only ever in the same respective .5m^2 because everything i need is close by.
>>724688917
>are you suggesting that the lack of financial investment on your part added a layer of comfort
absolutely! most people become pretty good about procrastination throughout their teen years, but actually not worrying about your future surely lets you enjoy life a lot more.
>come home from a hard day at work
>take a long hot shower to ease up the tense muscles and headache
>make a cup of hot chocolate in your jammies

>you slowly doze off into a world of bliss

Kinda worried about the dog...
What if he falls?
>>724689603
The faucet doesnt reach over the tub?
>>724691959
That's a dog in Bruges, he used to always chill in that spot. Since there are always loads of boat and tourists on those waters, he would have received help fast if he needed it
He was pretty famous, even has his own Wikipedia page. Look up Fidèle the Bruges dog. But, sadly enough, he passed away last year
>>724691959
this picture was posted in some other image board and someone explained that he knows the house owner
dog actually did fall down a couple times. intentionally. to cool down on hot summer days.
theres stairs close by so he can get back up and wet the whole house. very much to the disliking of the family. but the dog is okay.
>>724688336
to me it's different though, I let other people talk me into studying something I never had any interest in, just because it is said to give a stable career/life in the future. now I hate it and can't escape it
I wrote this in a similar thread some time ago... Maybe you like it
Oh and thank you for this thread I just had to bury my Grandpa and dont feel so well
"This may seem boring in written form but this picture reminded me of something:
When I graduated from school the whole year went on a trip to Denmark where we rented a house to party and get drunk 24/7. One evening I see a friend smoke a blunt with some dudes I kinda know. I have never smoked before and thought, "Hell, why not?" I went over and asked him if I could join in. He asked the guys and gladly they were all okay with it. I got pretty high and was drunk as well so I felt pretty super.
Some time later the decision was made that we all go drinking on the beach. Everyone joined in and we went there. After some 2 hours of great time most went back in because it was getting cold; some friends and I stayed behind to clean up the light trash so it won't get blown into the ocean.
That's when I look down the beach, into the direction of the next town.
Over the calm ocean waves, behind the warm yellow shine of the town, a thunderstorm rolled in. Overhead were just the stars but there, on the horizon was a massive storm, on which we looked from its side. You could see every filigrane lighting and the rain showering down on the earth...
I just stood there, just like the man in your picture. My friends asked why I wasn't helping and I pointed towards it. After a minute we all stood there, grazing on the absolute beauty of this moment.
It was one of the happiest moments of my short life and I have yet to experience another thing like it."
I hope the formatting still works
>>724691990
pull-out, probably. sucks to have the long pipes all over the place, so its all coiled below the tub. atleast thats nhow it works at my place.
>>724692618
So you have to hold a pullout faucet to fill a tub of that size? Seems tedious
