I've kinda been aware of this for a while... but yesterday, randomly, I came across a couple of videos that piqued my interest - and now my mind is blown and I'm kinda scrabbling around on the floor wondering what the hell is going on.

So, the Mandela Effect is a whole bunch of things that a lot of people remember differently to how they actually are. For example, the guitarist from the who is called Pete Townsend. But now, his surname contains an "h" that wasn't there before. Not only is he now Pete Townshend, but he's always been Pete Townshend. And if you hook out an old vinyl from the 70's - he's got an "h" back then too. The whole timeline is buggered.

In Snow White, "Mirror, mirror on the wall" is now "Magic mirror on the wall".

In Forrest Gump he doesn't say "Life is like a box of chocolates", he says "Life was like a box of chocolates".

In Jaws, it's not "We're gonna need a bigger boat", it's "You're gonna need a bigger boat".

Darth Vader doesn't say "Luke, I am your father", he's say's "No, I am your father".

Sex in the City is now called Sex and the City (and apparently - always has been).

It's really subtle little things, but it's killing me.

And here's the one that I cannot get my head around. It's more for the Americans among us... but it's a crazy one. I lived in the States for a couple of years at the end of the 90's. I used to read my kids a series of books about the Berenstein Bears. But, as of now - They're called the Berenstain Bears. With an "a".

I can't get my head around this at all. The girl in this video sums it up perfectly...

People are deluded. It always was Sex and the City. All you do is double guess yourself and commit to hysteria, which is a confirmed human psyche disorder.

Yeah.

Some people are idiots.

Again, all you're doing is double guessing yourself and learning what the actual lyrics of the song are, instead of the words you thought you heard. Listen to any song you're unfamiliar with, try and repeat key lyrics throughout the song - you'll get some wrong.
>>
"Life was like a box of chocolates" doesnt sound right
>>
>>724662041

Again, what you thought you heard vs what the script actually said and was spoken.

Theyre all really good examples OP. I'd heard the Berenstain Bears one before, but the rest (except Sex and the City) are pretty mind blowing.
>>
This has been disturbing me for some time now.

About 18 months ago, at a friends house, his kid played the Warner Bros cartoon DVD Looney Toons except it was called Looney Tunes. I said to my friend I thought it was Toons not Tunes. He thought it was Toons as well. After checking the internet it's actually Tunes. I watched those cartoons on TV in the 70's as well as in the cinema before the main film. It was always Toons and Tunes just looks odd to me.

Also, I read the Anne Rice books, it was Interview with A Vampire. Never Interview with The Vampire. Looking at my copy of the book it doesn't look right, it's out of place.
>>
>>724662085

The geography ones are crazy. The stuff that's so wrong right now is:

The position of Australia, no way it was that far north and that close to Papua New Guinea.

Sicily, absolutely was further south and away from Italy. If you google it and look at the map it doesn't even have a name on the island now. Malta which is much smaller has a name but Sicily doesn't? I remember it used to.

South America, the entire continent of South America has moved east by a huge amount. It used to be more directly under North America.

The Panama canal. Pretty sure I remember reading about how they built the panama canal from east to west and west to east and met in the middle. It now runs north to south.

Also, what the fuck is Svalbard? Where did that come from?

When we talk about what might be causing this we seriously have to consider quantum computing. If you look at D-Wave's site it has the tag line:

"A quantum computer taps directly into the fundamental fabric of reality – the strange and counterintuitive world of quantum mechanics – to speed computation."

http://www.dwavesys.com/quantum-computing

Now Google and CERN both have one of these systems, there is no way that anyone can tell me that this doesn't have the potential to mess with the nature of this holographic reality.

I just experienced something similar watching The Mighty Ducks. I vividly remember Hans handing Gordon Bombay a pair of size six skates, and Gordon saying he wears size nine, then Hans says to wear size six socks. I remember because even as a kid it struck me as impossible. But on Netflix, Hans actually gives him size 9 1/2, and says to wear thick socks. Tell me I'm not alone in remembering it this way.

The tense is a bit weird. Doesn't help that half the quote is left off.

In my mind I had always frased it like so;
"My momma always said [that] life was like a box of chocolates; You never know what you're gonna get."
(ie not directly quoting his mother)
In which case the "was" is less out of place.

Its basically saying that many people believe, no make that remember Mandela died in the 1980s. I happen to be one of these people. I specifically recall his funeral on TV on the news even. And I recall that in 1980 or thereabouts right after the movie the Jerk, Bernadette Peters died choking on some food in a restaurant. Yet both are alive today and fine in this time line unlike the time line in my memory and others memories.

Also, in my memory C3P0 was all brass or gold color. In this time line he has one silver leg from the knee down and foot on the right leg. In my memory the line in the movie Star Wars was "Luke, I am your father!" but in this time line its "NO! I am your father!"

In my memory it was always mirror mirror on the wall! But in this time line apparently its Magic Mirror on the wall! Unlike my memory!

I remember Silence of the Lambs and the famous line "Hello Clarisse" when Foster comes to the jail cell to ask to interview him but in this time line its not there!!!?

Also, and probably most importantly I remember a continent called Taured that was on the other side of Australia and its another big island big as New Zealand almost and I recall seeing it on maps and discussions about it in school as a child but in this time line that continent is not there and no one knows about it!!!! And there was an island and a big one in the north sea off of Ireland that was well known also not known about here in this time line. I don't know if it is there or not but its not on maps like I remember as a kid. I can never recall the name of this one though. Its not Doggerland or the other island out there in ancient aliens. This one is further north.

In my time line the show Gilligans Island was completely filmed on Theodore Rossevelt Island. In this time line that isn't the case and it was filmed in many locations on different islands and even in the studio sets.

>"Luke, I am your father!"

>mirror mirror on the wall!
>Mandela died in the 1980s

Both still no. How old even were you during these times? And when was the last time you watched snow white?

You remember things wrong. You just want it to be some crazy multiverse theory you didnt have to go to college to understand, but in reality you have poo brain. You've whipped yourself into a paranoia because you so desperately want to believe that you couldnt have remembered something wrong.

You have shit memory retention, and now youre letting that lead you into becoming delusional because you reject reality. Basically all the qualities of a Hillary voter.

CERN LHC and Mandela Effect connections - I think I've figured it out....

The LHC was turned on in early 2010, that’s the same time period when most people started reporting the Mandela effect start to happen. It’s been said that the LHC has the capacity to destroy the universe if used improperly. It’s also supposed that we live in a multiverse. What I propose is that the LHC IS destroying universes (hence the statue of Shiva destroyer or world’s outside of CERN) and that every time a universe is destroyed our souls are merged with a universe that wasn't and we carry on only from time to time noticing differences between our own personal memories and what is in recorded history.

AHHH YES FINALLY. Someone has finally made the connection with the LHC/CERN and the Mandells Effect.
yes you're not the only one who has claimed this publicly there is a man named Donald Marshall who has claimed publicly that this is exactly what he knows to be the case - CERN is directly causing the shifts. He says he was made to experience the same day five or more times in a row. He is highly ridiculed by ignorant mainstream internet users because of the plethora of information he has disclosed about the CLONING CENTER and involvement of countless celebrities and world leaders (or merely clones of these people.)

Personally, I don't believe in The Mandela Effect - I actually believe this clipping just goes to prove that even back in the early 90's people had the stein/stain mix-up and probably thought nothing of it.
But have a look and see for yourself what you think. If there's any good people who are good at cleaning up images they can see if the book in the image says -stain or -stein

Easter Island is full of MEs:
In the past, we covered that the Easter Island statues are an ME for some. They used to be just big heads, now the are smaller heads with pot belly bodies that were mostly buried (which is the story for why many remember only heads). : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moai#/media/File:Ahu-Tongariki-2013.jpg
So I watched a documentary on the island yesterday. I have seen documentaries on it before, and they were different. Story I got from previous documentaries: The people died out long ago and had no writing so we don't know why but surmise it is because they cut down all the trees and could not survive without wood for boats and fishing and whatnot. They were still there when early European boats and gone through the area but then later were completely gone. All that was left was the iconic heads and a few stone tools but not much was known about the people. The island was preserved as historical site with no one living there.
New story: lack of trees hurt the people of the island but most died from disease brought by Europeans and by being kidnapped by same and taken for slaves. A peak population of 20,00 native people dropped to a bit more than 100 natives surviving which were forcibly converted to Christianity and others moved in to farm the land. The native blood became diluted over time and the island was repopulated and now close to 6,000 people live there.

OK, think about this.
What if these changes are a result of time travel?
Some scientist went back in time, stepped on a caterpillar he wasn't supposed to, and altered the future in a very subtle way. It could change things.
This might be our first proof of time travel, and whomever invented it doesn't want us to know.

Remember those guys were like "We don't want to mess with reefer heads" when they saw the band smoking weed. Anyway the band gets Marty out of the trunk, and just before he runs off he takes a big hit off one of the band guy's joint. I remember it got a huge laugh in the the theater. "People remember a Sinbad genie movie from the ’90s, but there isn’t one. Many claim to recall a genie movie from the ’90s that starred Sinbad; the only problem is, there never was one. Those same people insist they aren’t confusing it with the 1996 flick Kazaam, which starred Shaq as a genie. They don’t know the title, or what happened to the movie’s existence, but they’re all very certain that once upon a time, it was a thing."

Most popular alternate memories

51 or 52 United States — (Not Puerto Rico, which is a territory, or DC, which is a district.)

Berenstain Bears or Berenstein Bears – Which do you recall? (Still one of the most popular topics at this website.)

Billy Graham’s funeral on TV. As of January 2016, he’s still alive.

Challenger shuttle explosion date? 1984, 1985, or 1986? Winter or another time of year? (Per Wikipedia, it was 28 Jan 1986.) Also, alternate memories about the Columbia.

Colors – Chartreuse and more – Many people recall chartreuse as a pink or reddish color. It’s actually yellow-green.

Curious George – Tail or no tail? (He’s never had a tail.) This is part of my article about dual memories.

Ghost Hunters TV show — Some remember the earliest show name as TAPS, not Ghost Hunters. (Yes, we know the real-life team is called TAPS, and some of their gear has always said that.)

Henry VIII portrait with a turkey leg in his hand — Many people clearly recall seeing it in history books, but there’s no record of it, now.

Jif or Jiffy Peanut Butter – Jif peanut butter was never called “Jiffy,” in this timestream. (Not confused with Skippy brand, either.)

Lindbergh baby – Never found? In this timestream, the 20-month old baby was found 12 May 1932.

Mother Teresa – A saint before 2016? Several recall her canonization in the 1990s. They also recall her name spelled “Theresa.”

Nelson Mandela’s death in prison, long before his actual death (in this timestream) on 5 December 2013.

New Zealand’s location, relative to Australia.

Red/blue – Pepsi logo changes, Chevron logo changes, and other color swaps… are they markers, cues, or signs to watch for?

Yes! We have had some strange experiences like that:

My brother was in bed, it was around 10pm, when he saw the lights of a car pulling into his driveway. The driver got out out of the car, shut the car door and started calling out his name from the gate. My brother decided not to answer as the visitor was unannounced at a late hour and he did not recognize the voice. The next day he checked the cameras and there was no evidence of any visitor whatsoever, BUT he saw himself walk past the camera. He was in bed, so that was not possible.

I experienced an entire day that I lived two years ago, right down to the news articles I read and YouTube videos I watched. Even my phones apps went back in time. I checked for updates and there were none. I told my husband that the Internet uploaded the wrong backup or something. It was mental. His phones apps were different versions to mine. We lost our minds.

My husband had a clear memory of being in Antarctica, with Vladimir Putin, operating Haarp. I asked him how it worked and he explained it to me as if he was remembering that exact day. I told him that he has never been to Antarctica, nevermind even met Vladimir and he looked at me totally confused... It was crazy. He had more memories like that the same weekend. It was the same weekend that I lived the same day twice... This was about 3 months ago.

We have had more experiences like this in the past few months.

It's scary and exciting all at the same time. Hard to explain...

For some reason I've been compelled to read 1984 within the last few weeks. I haven't even made it that far into Part 2 and the similarities are frightening. Here are a few quotes that stuck out to me and honestly made the hair on my neck and arms stand up.
• "The past, he reflected, had not merely been altered, it had been actually destroyed. For how could you establish even the most obvious fact when there existed no record outside your own memory?"
• "Everything faded into mist. The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became truth."
• "And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed -if all records told the same tale — then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past,' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past”
• "If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say of this or that event, it never happened — that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death?"
• “…it was not even forgery. It was merely the substitution of one piece of nonsense for another. Most of the material that you were dealing with had no connection with anything in the real world, not even the kind of connection that is contained in a direct lie.
Just wanted to share...Love the book so far!!

>In Snow White, "Mirror, mirror on the wall" is now "Magic mirror on the wall".
http://www.debunkingmandelaeffects.com/mirror-mirror-on-the-wall/

You're confusing the Disney movie with what people have said for years in reference to the original BOOK.

Disney got it wrong.

You're associating memories of things people say with what is really in the movie.

Lots of stuff like this happens all the time to everyone. But "normal" people don't associate it with time travel or some conspiracy theory.

Schizophrenics do.

Time travel's technically impossible since time is linear & relative

The closest thing you could get to time travel would be to teleport instantly somewhere in the universe where the exact same conditions exist as whatever point in time, down to the spins of each electron, or to somehow create a pocket universe with said properties, which is even less feasible

The candy that is the kitkat chocolate bar. What the hell happened to the dash? I remember growing up that it was always 'kit-kat' with the dash, only recent that I saw this and I thought they must have changed it. But apparently I can't find any period where they put a dash, but I could swear that it use to have a dash.
This is another one of those where I can't be completely 100 percent sure, but it bothers me enough to confuse the hell out of me. It is really really weird as I definitely remember it having a dash and in this present reality it's like there was no such thing as it having a dash...
This can't be my imagination....
I also think its strange how there is so many different types of kitkat now. Where as before it was only a 'kit-kat' chocolate bar and that's it. But by the time I notice it without the dash this candy is coming in all different shapes sizes and flavors that I just find completely ridiculous.
I also noticed something else a bit weird, the slogan was always 'have a break, have a kitkat'. But there seems to be added slogan that I don't remember "breaktime, anytime'. I never remember that slogan for it ever. I don't know if they added it as a new one....but it doesn't bother me as much as the missing dash

Regarding the mirror mirror on the wall. I had the same sensation with Mandela effect, but got over it.
So regarding the mirror: in Lithuania the translation was done many years ago. And it is "veidrodeli veidrodeli" - "mirror mirror" just saying

It entertains them. We live with it because it entertains them and it doesn't harm anyone. It's a funny idea, and I'm a little intrigued, but I'm not hooked like most of this board.

Yeah, if you time traveled even a second previous, the earth would be in a completely different area. Not to mention its theoretically impossible. But its a fun idea.

I just found another mundola affect

everyone in this dimension says "peopel used to believe the earth was flat"

but from my original timeline every ancient civilization with an understanding of astronomy (africa no) knew the earth was round, some greek fag even calculated the circumfrence of the earth using a tree, fucking faggot. why no one remeber this???

I keep putting a correlation between the book Animal Farm and ME. In the book the animals created a list of rules and they all lived by them. One day one of the words in the list was changed. All the animals were shocked at the change and the pigs convinced them they were just remembering it wrong. The pigs began to change one word at a time, convincing them each time that it had always been that way until the pigs gave themselves all power.
Could this be happening to us now? Changing one thing at a time. Convincing us we are remembering wrong so whatever or whoever is doing this will eventually have control over us?

>Occan's Razor
This is, by the same Razor, is clearly proof that I remember a different timeline in which it was called Occam's razor and actually means the opposite. I wonder if this is the first instance where the meaning of terms or concepts 'flipped' during a Mandela-event or if there have been many such events, hence 'alternative facts'?

The phenomenon is curious, although aplenty of those are just changes in design that happened over time (long lasting brands like Coca-Cola, Volvo, etc.) and people confusing it with ME are making it worse.

And even despite I remembered almost all of those from this list correctly (as "current"),

New Zealand fucked me over big time. Was NE and is now SE? What the fuck? It was always SW and that's not even an option!

I am quite sure this show never existed [which gives me an awfully creepy feeling] and was very probably a dream. Yet I have explicit details and memories about it.
First of all, we are talking deepest darkest 1970s here. I was young, maybe 5 or 6. The program was most likely British, we used to get a lot of British programs in Germany and I could tell that it wasn't German by the Police uniforms and cars etc. [even though we had German programs set in Britain].
Basically it was a series about two plain clothed police women [inspectors, detectives?]. They were both really pretty. One was a redhead/auburn and always a bit wild, getting into trouble and a blonde one who was the down to earth one.
The reason I remember it so vividly is that they wore incredibly modern clothes, like flared jeans, big furry jackets etc. Always a little on the extreme side. Which as a young girl I loved.
Anyway, I remember the one episode that was supposed to be the last in the series. It was about alcohol smugglers and they did that in large tankers [lorries]. The two women found one of them and the redhead fell in during the investigation as the lorry drove off with her in it. Typical!
However they were already on the case, the panda cars arrived and stopped the lorry, arresting the driver. The blonde immediately made sure they were fishing her partner out and she was quite drunk [wobbly on her feet and slurring her words] they made a joke about it and laughed whilst holding her up...badaboom The End.
I remember laughing too and asking my parents if she was drunk because she fell in?
It had an obvious name based on their first names [which I can't remember]. Like Cagney and Lacey but more like Janine and Mandy.
Only problem is that this program never existed. All those little details I remember [which one is the prettier one, who wears the nicer clothes - the redhead, who is funnier - the redhead etc] are all in my mind.

There is evidence and memories that people were visiting the Statue of Liberty's torch as late as a few years ago:
http://imgur.com/a/tkh1z
However, the official history says that the torch was closed and never opened again for public after a German terrorist bomb attack in 1916 - which I have also never heard of! Has anyone else..?
I also found this tweet with a picture: http://imgur.com/a/NPgu1

recall seeing the "How bow dah/ cash me outside" Dr. Phil girl in the mid 2000's.

I recall seeing her in the mid to late 2000's, maybe 2009 at the latest. According to knowyourmeme the episode didn't air until October 2016...
