I call upon all of you to spread this information as quickly as possible for your lives are at stake. Recently, Japan has released new information regarding the real extent of the nuclear disaster in Fukushima. Please do your own research if you don't buy in to this. The MSM isn't covering this at all and it could mean the extinction of millions of species, including us.

Japan be like... See we got you back for Hiroshima and Nagasaki....
>>
>>724092763
This is actually far, far worse than that. It's really fucking bad.
>>
Really? Worse than our 1950s nuketests?
>>
>>724093005
Yes.
>>
>>724092907
The real questions is what can be done about it... as someone who does live on the west coast... what can I do about it... the answer is absolutely nothing. I can leave the west coast, my job, my house, etc. but there is nothing that can be done about it... so what is the point of worrying... we all have to die sometime... worrying about it just makes death that much worse.
>>
>>724093198
Iodine supplementation.
This is step 1. This is what MUST be done.
This is the main issue w Chernobyl and USSR trying to cover it u for the longest time ever.
>>
I've spoken twice to marine biologists about this. They said the same thing, earth has inner water currents that drain the oceans water and takes it through paths that might even make it diassapear for milenia before jt comes out again.
>>
>>724093198
The thing is, when Chernobyl happened, Russia asked other countries to assist them in the cleanup immediately. People don't even know this is going on, and this nuclear waste is being pumped into the pacific ocean. The ocean currents will send that radiation directly to the west coast. What's more frightening is the extinction of marine life. Subtle changes in an ecosystem can start an avalanche of cataclysmic proportions. We have to spread this as fast as possible while theres still hope of media covering it and governments taking action.

First point, that's a fake fallout map from around the same week Fukishima actually happened OP

Two: People have known since it happened that the fallout is FAR WORSE than was covered/expected and yet all Obama did was RAISE the standard of safe radiation levels

Three: The true purpose of of this is not just to cover up the disaster for the sake of the nuclear industry (and thus the future for nuclear power) but to cause a "slow-kill" process WORLDWIDE just in time for the coming planned world-wars over resources in order to get the world population back down to roughly 100-500 million people tops.

Was all part of a much wider-much more devious plan OP
>>
I feel like I stepped into an alex jones show planning meeting...

This is not news OP, most of this footage was taken from 2011..

It is bad however that media has stopped covering it just because, shows how corrupted their agenda is.

The OP picture is just a picture of relevancy, there are live radiation trackers out there. I just grabbed a picture to start the thread. It wasnt until recently, like within a few weeks or less that people became aware of how bad it really is. The originally estimated the maximum sieverts was 70, they've just found out that number is 530.
>>

Well fuck. I'm in a real shit stain position I am physically not able to volunteer towards helping this at all. Why doesn't trump just build a wall around this shit. That is exactly what I am saying. This isn't "a while ago" this is NOW. The information was WAY under estimated, apparently less than a week ago they sent in a robot that found a hole in the reaction core. People are attempting to spread it on youtube, making videos about it hourly.

Wind is the superior renewable energy source with solar coming in second. The risks of nuclear energy are not worth it in my opinion, especially since we've proven more than once that we cannot keep them running without inevitable catastrophe

Save money on the wall by making the area around the border radioactive.
>>
>>724096533
it's the other way around. solar is king. Even if you install solar in a traditionally non-good weather country like England for example, there is so much potential for energy production. The real problem is that we could only extract a small % of this available solar power, but that has changed.

Wind on the other hand will be an important slice of the renewable pie, but the big problem is that the steel frame with rotors has bearings that wear out and need to be replaced.

We can totally keep nuclear under control though. The real problem with nuclear is that you would need to convince politicians to close down nuclear reactors built in 1950-1970 early, and build new ones. This is basically like saying 'hey, please create massive debt to ensure security of population' and they won't do that because it gives ammunition to their opponents.
>>
>>724096533
Because its always windy everywhere and solar panels are easy and don't contaminate one bit, also... Clouds?

Source? Does this explain the hole in the reactor core? Does this explain why Japan is pumping radiation into the pacific ocean? Does this explain why we've been detecting radiation on the west coast since 2013?

Yes if your scanners are not broken, this would be a fool proof thing. You'll see cars drive by and it will go up because they got their gas from a shitty bp pump or something. Now if your house became surrounded by alpha particles you'd have no idea. Alpha would never get to the device through your walls. might want to put the device through a port like a tv dish idk. Great idea though, could use it like an outdoor temperature gauge but for radiation instead.

It's not as bad as your making it sound OP. The lady in the video lists radioactive iodine 129 first because its the scariest. But doesn't mention the half life of the following ones. iodine 131 has a half life of 8 days, caesium 134 has a half life of 2 years and 137 has a half life of 31 years.

With fukushima, about 3 times as much fuel was lost as the three mile island incident in the US. However nuclear research has come a long way since then. chernobyl and three mile island used HEU(high enriched uranium), now adays we use the much safer LEU(low enriched uranium). The main byproducts of fukushima that we have to look out for are iodine 129 and caesium 131. 129 is the scary sounding one, because its half life is 15 million years, it's a naturally occuring isotope, however human development has increased its presence. nuclear fuel makes the isotope byproducts in a ratio of 3 caseium 131, to 1 iodine 129. Caesium 131 is the scary one, because its highly radioactive, however because of its short half life, it removes itself from the environment very quickly. iodine 129 essentially lasts forever, but is much less radioactive. Because of the amount of fuel in the reactors, only japan is at risk. Your picture depicts what would happen if the all the radiation was leaked into the atmosphere, however in Fukushimas case, what they are worrying about is whether or not its leaking into the groundwater, and out too sea. The levels of radiation reaching the west coast will be detectable because of the isotopes involved, but wont post any huge health crisis.

tldr;
your fine, just don't eat a shit ton of fish everyday.

>fukushima anything

The conspiracy theorists already ruined any possibility of taking this seriously. There is no evidence of disease within the population of California nor disruption to it's biosphere.

Also my own knowledge of nuclear power would say this is nonsense, there's not nearly enough nuclear material in the whole of Fukushima to irradiate the pacific ocean to any statistically significant amount. It's obviously bad if nuclear material gets away, I suppose there might be a tiny increase in the amount of cancer among...sea cucumbers or some bottom-feeding organism which will directly consume tiny amounts of collected nuclear material?

Anti-nuke just isn't that viable, it's like anti-Trump, they just spaz every damn time and it's barely founded in anything - maybe the fear of nuclear weapons? The amount of people and animals who have died or become sick due to nuclear technology is absolutely microscopic just in comparison to using gasoline in cars. Have a little bit of a sense of scale, christ. Nuclear energy will probably be needed to bridge the gap between here and either orbital solar->microwave power or fusion power. We just need to keep carbon down while we do our research into something better. At least nuclear waste more or less stays where you put it because it's incredibly heavy instead of being inhaled by every organism on earth in tiny amounts disrupting their endocrine systems and possibly even their cellular biology more generally.

So do airborne endocrine disruptors. The localized problems caused by irradiation are really nothing in comparison to the whole biosphere being exposed to endocrine disrupting chemicals. The nightmare sencario of a meltdown reaching the water table has never happened even at Chernobyl, Fukushima is site-contained, Three Mile Island was an engineering problem and near non-event. Nobody even remembers EBR-1, a body pinned to the ceiling with control rods through his body seems noteworthy but no, not really remembered.

The biggest nuclear disaster in history was caused by the mismanagement and bullying of a single soviet officer, a drug-addled fuckup empowered by the ineptitude of communist suppression. Oh, and it's complete lack of a containment dome making it airborne.

Than again. Visualize once in your life how that must work out.

For one city/district of Fukushima this reactor doesn't even generate the full capacity.

You actually believe (France got about 100-500 reactors) that even one shipload of plutonium/uranium can basically pollute the area of 5,000,000,000 qs/ft (not even considered the volume). You literally are nuts.

Not really. There's a lot of uncertainty but I think a lot of that "uncertainty" is being paid for by the oil industry, they certainly have the connections and the money, they've probably been doing it for ages. I really think it's responsible for a lot of cancer, a lot of untold damage to the whole biosphere of earth because it can get to everywhere but Antarctica, special reason for that and scientists of my sort defend Antarctica from human contact tooth and nail so we can study an untouched land and gain it's precious data. Air pollution probably explains everything from asthma to why African bushmen never get sarcoidosis.

Experimental Breeder Reactor 1 was a nuclear energy experiment undertaken by the US government in the wake of the discovery of nuclear energy and it's subsequent study by American academics. Theory suggested a "breeder reactor", a reactor which produces plutonium from uranium should be possible. It was, but an accident with the first model was so bad it totally destroyed the top of the reactor. The control rods flew out of the top of the reactor, through the body of a technician who was pinned to the ceiling by a control rod completely penetrating his abdomen. Unknown to early first responders the site was so radioactive that everyone involved with the recovery of the pinned body later died, all had to be buried in lead-lined coffins.

The area was carefully cleaned, the was then reactor was repaired for later experiments which were successful. The legend of the pinned man is largely only known among NRC employees and their families.

Can the tourist still go in the water? Did you know that South Beach Miami has no sand. They import it. The sand is poorly crushed shells. It's all an illusion. I live on the beach. I fish on week ends, but always release. I don't trust anything I catch near the city.

basically 20-50 Tonnes of enriched Uranium per year for a full operating Nuclear plant.

Thats about the same number in Trucks.

You actually think that 20 Truckloads of Uranium can pollute the ocean's surface between Japan and California ?.

Just visualise before you start considering. Important step in science/education.

They don't tell you how dangerous radioactive isotopes are.
The amount of Plutonium that will kill you (a speck that will sit on the point of a pin) if ingested, will barely indicate above ambient radiation levels on a Geiger counter.
It's actually pretty harmless outside your body. But breath/swallow it and you are going to die. Slowly, over years.
A Geiger counter will not warn you of the danger.
>>
>>724108423
Im not quite sure about that but just the ratio is far out of proportions.

>It's almost like your answer was run through a computer thousands of times to come up with the most soothing bullshit answers.

WRONG.

Behind all tech and science you need a common skill of visualisation/drawing the picture of a problem.

Uranium is incredibly dense and need more than 1400C to set into fuel, there wasn't even those amounts of Energy because the Reactor stopped producing.

There was a small fire in one of the Units (not even close to the Chernobyl disaster).

From these 20-50 tonnes a really insignificant amount was lost/became waste due to the disaster.

Even if the Whole plant burned in some huge fire, even if it exploded and erased half of Fukushima from the earth surface. The claimed amount of polution is ways out of proportions.

4 out of 6 off all France electricity comes from fission.

How would that work out during some earthquake disaster ?. Polution till planet Mars ?

Wouldn't it be a god material to make energy ?. About 1000 times more efficient as we thought is was XD.

Like one cup of uranium for three weeks of energy, straight XD. It would be nutttttts.

Fukushima is the worst disaster of our time and there's literally nothing we can do to stop it. Tepco doesn't know where melted cores are and radioactive groundwater keeps leaking into ocean. We cannot just pour concrete over it because it will leak into ocean anyway. Radiation inside the buildings is too high even for robots and humans would collapse in seconds.

Marine life is dying in pacific, you can google "pacific die-offs". MSM is covering it up to avoid global panic. Tokyo isn't safe for 2020 olympics either. I would not be suprised if they were cancelled because by 2020 Japan is really fucked. People have radiation sickness symptoms and birth defects have gone trough roof.

Just remember my words if you don't believe me now. Fukushima will lead to major panic in the future when MSM cannot cover it up anymore. It's much worse than chernobyl, reactor 3 had MOX-fuel made from plutonium, thats why it exploded critically, it wasn't hydrogen explosion.

America isn't safe either. Jet stream brings radioactive particles over the pacific and ocean currents will spread them around the world.

http://enenews.com/

http://fukushima-diary.com/

Follow them if you want redpill on this. People don't realize that it will slowly kill whole globe. What happens when Japan runs out of nuclear engineers and becomes inhabitable? Who will fix it then?
