Well shit, those are two different things. If you're going to the range you might want something that's cheaper to shoot, like a 9mm. Though I hear they're going up a bit. If you need a side arm for hunting I guess it depends on what's around. If you need to kill a bear you're going to want something huge, though I'd suggest bear mace before going that route.

No, american ak's (i.o., ddi, ras47's) and other cheap builds are not built with quality parts typically like combloc rifles. Usually cast bolts and trunions rather than forging them the way they should be. As of right now, no one in America is building a good AK. Besides a few small shops and Rifle Dynamics but they use all quality stuff from Europe for most of the rifles. Unlike shitty i.o., Century, or DDI.

.40s are over priced, way over pressured, hold less rounds, and don't offer any more stopping power than a 9mm

I've had one Glock that would throw brass on me. Couldn't tell if it was my fault or the gun's fault, so I sold it.

It was a shitty G30, and I couldn't consistently hit bullseyes with it anyway. My G27 is a tack driver, and I was thinking all glocks would do that way.

I have a G43 for when I'm wearing loose shorts like swim trunks, and it's not perfectly accurate in my hands either. I'm adept at 7 yards with it, but start getting inconsistent past that.
