There's something thats been really bothering me and i just want to know if it's just me.
Lately i've been really into sci-fi stuff (games, movies etc) mostly ones including intelligent aliens living alongside us. But i have started realizing that none of us will be alive to actually see something like that, no-one here will actually live in a complex interplanetary civilization. And none of us will be able to really explore our galaxy. Am i the only one really bothered by this???

Cry me a river bro
Why dont you get to work so we can?

you cant rule out a more advanced species making contact. Improbable but not impossible. Space folding could be on to something.
Space travel won't actually be that interesting to take part in. The results will be cool but it'll be a grand launch followed by 30 years of induced sleep, interrupted occasionally to check everything's okay. We can actually discover a ton from where we are by observing and sending drones, by the time we can actually reach outside our solar system we'll already know everything about where we're going in a ton of depth down to a molecular level. It won't be the "step into the darkness" like you imagine.

Tfw you realize if we weren't all shit heads, religious, power hungry degenerates we would have colonized the moon by now.
Not saying it's America's fault for spending so much on their military (lets face it they need it because everyone is a shit head) but in general we could have accomplished so much in the last few years.
We could be a multi planet species perhaps the first in the history of our universe... But instead now we're just sitting here and it doesn't seem much different or better than a couple years ago.
If we just all worked together the world and space could be ours.
Shit like this man....
The aliens are already here
