I have a question about black people /b/
I wait on tables in a restaurant attached to a hotel. So we have to accomodate the expectations of both traveling businessmen and also families who are briefly in town.
And as a server i have this unique fly-on-the-wall perspective where i get to observe the behavior of different demographics when they're not paying attention to me.
So why do black people always ask for straws /b/?
Seriously no matter what they're drinking, no matter their age or gender or lifestyle - every black person ive served has asked me to get them a straw.
What is it about black culture that necessitates drinking from straws when i know their asses dont keep straws at home?

I was told once that it was more sanitarium, especially with cans of soda, where the rim is left exposed to the elements.

Op here, i actually receive better tips from most black families (generally 15-18%) than from rich white dudes (generally ~12%)
I have some coworkers that dont like serving black families but ive never had this problem re: tips

I also work in a restaurant attched to a hotel/resort. We rarely have any black families but when we do, they almost never tip. If they do its only about 5-10% and only if a guy is paying.

I don't know. Personally I have a good manly nose, so I have to tilt the glass further than a monkey-faced human would, but I do it because i'm not a 4 year old child.
