Has any of you /b/tards done much world traveling? I'm kind of considering taking several thousand dollars and leaving the US for someplace cheap. I would want it to be somewhere relatively safe, and while I'm okay with something kind of third world, I definitely want the basic modern shit like electricity and internet. Good food is also a plus. I'm thinking maybe eastern Europe or southeast Asia but all suggestions are welcome. Also I don't entirely know what I'd do for work. Ideally I'd be working long-distance for an American company so I'd still be saving up American bucks while I'm abroad but if you have any good ideas about that I'd like to hear them too.
tl;dr Need countries that are cheap and cool to live in.

Croatia is pretty cheap, you have Argentina and Chile in the south, Morocco in Africa, Singapore in Asia.
It's useful to have a slight knowledge of the other countrie's languages before going in, in case you meet someone who doesn't speak english at all (Usually older people).
Hell, the other day I saw an indian guy at the point of crying because no one knew how to give him proper directions in english.

Morocco, that could be interesting. That's one of the less strict Muslim countries, isn't it?
I am not fluent in any languages other than English but I took French, Spanish, German, and Japanese at various points when I was younger and I am not intimidated by the task of learning a language. I only forgot the ones I have learned because I don't live anyplace where they're spoken.

That's a little extreme for me /b/ro.
