People should be allowed to pursue their intellectual passions, and if it's exploring and studying the universe then so be it

Focus on survival first.
Humanity is about to face its first global crisis
Population is spyralling out of control and so the agricultural rural land is replaced by urban buildings and import more food becomes the norm ALL over the world.
Suddenly there is no land or food production left.
Gigantic population far larger than now, with no food.
My guess is a war over the remaining resources and agricultural land?
