I have always seen green texts from this site about other people and their life stories, i lurk now and then but i feel i need to share this event in my life that has spanned 10 years and only culminated 2 weeks ago

>be me, aged between 7-8
>Lived in a quite town in north west england
> Yu-gi-oh GX had came out a couple of months ago and everybody was crazy about it
>We all played it in school apart from kids who where too poor to have them or weren't allowed them
>These kids got way too jealous and thus stole cards from everybody
>Tension was high and therefore no-one trusted each other
>we all started to separate into groups which in itself lead to bullying
>I digress, this info is relevant tho
>i lived in a cul-de-sac that was recently build and new families where moving in
The next 6 months are now almost scarring to me
>New family arrives with an 8 year old boy
>I thought this was the best thing ever, i finally had a friend who lived right next door to play with
>The boy was rolling about on this weird circus looking thing

>after approaching him i learned he too liked Konami's best selling trading card game
>I spied he had a stammer and would spin his hand, i put it to a mental problem
(2 people in the class had learning difficulties, including myself, which meant we were all aware about this type of stuff
>The next thing he does it what keeps coming back to me
>'Hey anon, can i see your house?'
>oblige like a fool
>he comes in, pets my dog, introduces himself to my parents.
>i am sure they spotted that he wasn't all together in his head
>He goes to my garden and notices we back up onto a trench that separates the estate from the forest me and my friends used to play in on rare occassions
>'WOW ANON!!!, you have a forest?'
>I feel proud of having such a luxury despite other house around also having access
>ask if he wants to go in
