serious question (specifically directed to the LGBTQI non-binary, and/or veterinarians) :

how do you guys feel about gender rights of non-humans? I have a 5 year old cat, Obi, that has increasingly been exhibiting behaviour that suggests she (I've been using this pronoun in respect to her, she was born a male) may identify as a female

I've noticed over the past year that he always prefers playing with female cats over male cats, but never has never made any sexual advances towards them. in fact, when my sister came to town with her male cat, Obi tried to get sexual with him.

Obi's behaviour has led me to believe that he identifies as a female. Here's where my real question comes forward: can SRS (sexual reassignment surgery) be performed on a cat? I've been noticing that Obi has been morose lately and I'm starting to get concerned for her mental well-being. I should note that I myself am undergoing MTF transition, so I totally understand Obi's struggle. Do any of you have experience with this? If so, do you know if there veterinarians that perform this procedure. This is clearly a trying time for Obi (and myself) and I just want her to get the help she needs.

ps she was named after Obi-Wan Kenobi, but if she transitions, I will change her name to Padme
