So I'd like to have a discussion about Jordan Peele's directorial debut, GET OUT. It currently boasts 5 stars on rotten tomatoes and every review for it is generally positive. I feel that that critics want to avoid looking racist by saying something Jordan Peele made was a wild exaggeration based off of the black man's paranoia. If I made a Horror movie called "Go Away" that was about a white man trying to defend his family and property from zombie niggers, muslims and illegal immigrants, I'd be labeled racist, and rightly so.
I'm going to see Get Out tonight and decide for myself if it really deserves all of these positive reviews.
How about you anon, are you going to go see "Get Out"?
From what I've heard there's a twist that kind of throws egg on your face if you went in expecting racial pandering.
That said, didn't look good enough for me to spend money on.

That would be cool.

I am well aware of the Negrotown sketch
There's an article that says Get Out debunk the post racial myth. I think Jordan Peele knows how to strike a theme when the iron is hot. Looking at it as far a being a horror film, I believe that it may be a perfect film in retrospect when we're looking back at this decade 10 years from now.

Probably gonna be one of many mediocre films that draw in a crowd with a racially provocative trailer then doesn't really end up being racially focused at all.
Meh/10
