So back in January my department had our performance evaluations. I scored pretty high and was promised an 8% increase of my salary. It is now 24th and I still haven't received it. I have emails showing that they are giving me a 8% increase as well as multiple emails of me touching base with them to inquire about it.
Here's the thing, our contract renewal is coming up and there is a chance a different company will pick us up if they win the bid. So as of now if pay increase goes through I'll potentially only get one more check from this current company.
If I don't get the raise, or even if I do, do you think I have enough grounds for legal action to receive back pay for what I was promised? Especially if my team gets picked up by a new company.
If they promised and agreed to pay you a certain amount then don't its criminal, verbal agreements have value.

Yeah they did. I have it in a email. As well as all the follow up emails I sent.
