having an argument with "friends". a nearby video store is having a closing sale, every week they lower their prices by 10%, friend found a complete series of a show he enjoys but not looking to pay the $130 -10% its priced at. so friend decides to hide the boxset under a display shelf completely hidden to prevent anyone from buying it, and is gonna show up a few weeks later when its at 40-60% off. i believe this is a form of shoplifting, he doesnt.
anon's thoughts?

>when its at 40-60% off
if it even gets there, I know one store that just did 10% until it closed
>implying anyone else will dig through the entire thing

the criminal action of stealing goods from a shop while pretending to be a customer, requiring the said person to take the item FROM THE STORE TO BE CONSIDERED STEALING
>not stealing the box set, but hiding it IN THE STORE
