Is their anyway to purchase a Sako TRG 42 in 338 LP for a slightly more affordable price? I'm willing to pay the 8,000-6,000 price tag but I'm hoping on saving a few bucks.

not as far as I know. The only people who drop that kind of dosh on them do it knowing what they're getting and knowing it's what they want to get. I don't see many second hand on the market but good luck to you.

I did see a used one for only 4,000 a long while ago. At the time I thought it was just some over priced rifle but now I know how much these things are really worth. Damn.

Is there a reason it has to be a TRG 42?
Like is it for a collection or do you just want a nice long range precision rifle?
