Okay. When did people become so obnoxious, /b/?
Everyone takes every statement these days to 11, and the only vent where people are dealing real talk is places like 4chan.
Getting totally real here, why are people so *outrageously* butthurt at each other these days?
To pick apart our political parties, they are now at each other's throats. In the eyes the the Democrats, Republicans are literally Nazis who are filled with hate. They want nothing more than to take away medical care from poor gay Democrats, because they are bigots. Now, the Republicans hate the Democrats, too, but that's because the Democrats say all of this stuff about them and look down on them.
I'm not about to say that I agree with Trump's politics, but maybe, just maybe we don't have to be such outrageous fucking assholes about this shit. If we could all take it down a notch, we'd probably get some real stuff done in this world and change things for the better for everyone.
I'm not saying that people should dial it back on protesting Trump. I'm just saying that neighbors hating each other and not hearing each other out is what led to this situation in the first place. They didn't vote *for* Trump. They voted against Hillary, who has done nothing but trash on them just as badly as the next Democrat. Let's get real, they weren't going to vote for that.

While we're at it, turning every SJW value to 11 was kind of a shitty way to run a campaign. The whole movement works by otherizing and alienating others in order to elevate yourself. This is a democratically-run society, so winning elections requires votes. Again, if people who weren't going to vote for you because you insult them, then actively threatening them is probably an even worse strategy. If you don't think that these people felt threatened by the left at the moment, let's recall how things have developed *since* Trump was elected. Basically, the snarky comments from their neighbors became open insults and verbal attacks on facebook and the right have kept seeing images on the news of people on the right being called Nazis and attacked by leftists. One might conclude from these images that they were right to feel threatened, given that the left has become violent since the election.
