I´m from Uruguay, i emigrated to the States in 2002. (remember the 2002 economic crisis? you guys had 4 presidents in 3 years)

Got a job 3 days after arrival thanks to degree in engineering. Spent 9 years working my ass off, two jobs, living in a mobile home and a shitty motel. Saved as much as i could.

Moved back to Uruguay, bought land, a house and a car.

I have no debt.
I have no mortgage.
I pay no rent.
I can support myself with a part-time job.

Getting a degree and working my ass off paid off big time, best decision ever.
