There are 3 ways you can tell if its real. The easiest is if a magnet sticks to it. Second way is to look at it from the side, you should be able to see if its made up of different layers of material (should be 3 layers but you can only really see 2). Third way is to get a piece of paper and see if you can get it under part of the on the inside of the cross (by the 1813, or the other side). You should be able to get the paper under at least one of the 4 corners there.
