Hi there /b/. So I've got a strange problem.
I've been dating a girl for a few months now, the relationship is stale and I'm probably going to end it. There's just no spark and we never spend time together or talk so there's no point.
I'm also an actor. I recently was in a two person play about falling in and out of love. The play was received very well, and it actually won an award. Anyways, my co-star and I had to portray a couple that was madly in love on stage.
Getting close and being around this girl was incredible. I think I love her. It wasn't just acting. At least not on my part. She was so bubbly and giggly around me, I remember us hugging multiple times after our play won. I haven't felt this way for anyone in a long time.
Here's where it gets tough though.. She's got a boyfriend. And it's not just a fling. They've been together for FOUR YEARS. So I can kiss any chance of a future with her goodbye. Or is there a chance? I'm beside myself. Thoughts? Advice?
You have a very good chance. The fact she has been together with her boyfriend for 4 years will actually work in your favour.
If this guy is not an über alpha male God (which he probably isn't), there will be a lot of built up friction and tension in this relationship. The sex will be lacklustre and routine.
Don't actively chase her. Be a better guy than the guy she is currently with. That means giving attention to her (which he no longer does), make her feel good about herself, and be a charming and witty motherfucker. She will start chasing you.

The actress won't go for you. You might get a fling out of it but it will be nothing serious but. It still sounds like you should end it with your gf since its over anyways and going no where.

my current girlfriend had a boyfriend when we met. you never know the state of their relationship. it could be falling apart, or in a similar state to yours.
best move would be to just get closer to her. figure out what her relationship is like, and let things develop from there. don't hold out too much hope that she's unhappy in her relationship though. and definitely don't get it in your head that she's a bitch or a cunt if she is happy with her boyfriend, if for no other reason than the fact that she's a colleague/is in the same professional circles as you. you wouldn't want to be a dickhead to her just to have word spread around your local acting community, ruining possible connections
