His tactics are similar only in that they are political and populist tactics
The biggest deal is the idea of ethnic vs civic nationalism
The states of Europe are ethnic states, French live in France, Britts live in Brittin, Germans live in Germany etc. (in b4 exceptions, yes I know there are small enclaves etc.)
So to be a nationalist German, its not just putting the German state first, but its putting the German ethnicity first. And that is the philosophical point at which Nazism had its fatal flaw (in my opinion).
You also have a few other things, like Hitler (and many Germans) rightful anger towards the European powers for literally screwing them after the great war.
Sending them into desperate poverty, taking away their lands and generally forcing the Germans into a third world country. They were angrry, not like in the USA today. Actual real desire for revenge and reconquest to the point that hitler was in Jail for years for trying to overthrow the German state and he wrote a book while in Jail talking about how the Zionist Jews and Bolsheviks had sold Germany out and they are what caused all of these problems.
And it was a best seller.
The meme that Hitler was just a good old guy that tricked Germany into what happened is not true. They knew exactly what Hitler was and they wanted it.
That's why it took us literally bombing the entire country and killing 1/8th of the population before the Germans gave up thats why they werent allowed to re-unify because it wasnt just Hitler it was Germany too, and the average German citizen.
Trump does not blame our economic trouble on Muslims, Trump and his supporters dont go around rounding up "undesirables"
Trump is not advocating for the overthrow of our government and the annexation of "rightful American Lands"
Trump is not Hitler in the slightest
