The combat style is fantastic and the world sucks you in.

2 was a piece of poorly-designed, borderline broken shit.
They took everything from DS1 and did it much much worse. They fucked up the controls. They fucked up the hitboxes BIG TIME, they fucked up the rolling mechanic with the addition of agility. The areas were bland and uninspired, not to mention crammed chock-fucking-full of huge clusters of tough enemies. That doesn't make a good game, that makes an infuriating, lazy-designed mess.

2 by far had the best pvp. Agility meant that you couldn't roll around like a ninja while wearing the heaviest armor which balanced out pvp. 9 is by far the hardest FF. A perfect run would include 100% under 12hrs which is nigh impossible unless you reload to get the rng to work for you.

I loved the Sorcery/Miracle/Pyromancy/Hexes of Dark Souls II. Wish they'd brought that into Dark Souls III. Instead, they fucking merged Hexes with the three other systems.

DS3 is not as good an experience as DS1 is imo. It's better than DS2 but removes a lot of freedom from the 2 prequels, which made it a little boring in comparison to how it was before. I don't know why it was made that way but it surely pissed a lot of people off.
