Get the memory and hdd out of it before you chuck it away though. That shit will probably still be usable.

Leave it dry for a while, wash it off and let it dry again.

Reassemble it after 48 hours and hope to god it doesn't catch fire when you plug it in.

Leave it for a few hours on charge to try and make sure it's not gonna kill you, try turning it on when it's done charging.

As an addendum, I've been fixing PC's with issues like yours for the past 8 years and from the countless liquid damaged computers I'd wager I've seen less than 10 actually be revived and even then I usually have to replace the keyboard.

Fuck around with it if you want but you're probably wasting your time unless it's an expensive notebook.
