You probably won't get either on the first visit. Certainly not both because they're almost polar opposites on how they work on you.

Pick one or the other, in this case adderall, because it's what you made the meeting for. Go take the tests. Take what he gives you, which likely will not be adderall. They'll likely try giving you everything they can before giving you something you can get high off of so like the first 4 scripts may be piddley shit that won't get you high. But you keep going back and complaining that it's not working until you get what you need. It may take several visits with any doc not lose with the script pad. And in the last decade the DEA has stripped most docs of their medical license that prescribe to prolifiically.

They really aren't supposed to give narcotics for treatment until they've ruled out that the non-narcotic drugs don't work.

Also this should go without saying but you millenials are dumb, but DON'T LOOK LIKE A DRUG USER, don't come in reeking of weed, don't mention prior drug use or EVER claim that you've done drugs. Any behavior they flag as DRUG SEEKING means they will NEVER prescribe you anything good. Be as polite, nerdy, and harmless as you can seem.... this most certainly is a game of appearances and if you come in with all kinds of tatts and facial piercings with your hair in dreads and baggy jeans, you're never gonna get anything.

This may take several visits, this isn't the 1970s anymore, you don't get scripts for good shit just for asking, they have to rule out all the weaker options or they can get called into question by the DEA.

You just complain about the right symptoms and keep coming back, they'll eventually give you the good shit.... but ask for the hard shit by name in visit 1 and they'll make sure they never give it to you. With a competent doc it takes about 3 visits to finally get the shit that works. No doc prescribes narcotics just for asking in 1 visit.....

Well, it's not too hard. They'll give you a few puzzles (note this information from my buddies who got diagnosed in the 90s, it may be different), leave the room, with a camera filming you solve them.

Basically solve the puzzles as distracted as you can. Work on them for a minute or two, stare at the walls, look around, sit back down, ask if you can take a bathroom break and come back in a few (probably will be denied), get it done or but take a ridiculous amount of time doing it with all your distractions.... I'm sure it's the same basic testing (just seeing how distracted you get from tasks) even if they've made the tests all digital or something like that.

Probably won't get the good stuff in one visit. And if you do get the good stuff, they may want to give you a drug test to make sure you aren't on other drugs. Be able to pass one.

Tell him you have ADHD obviously and for xanax tell him you have insomnia and that you heard xanax was really good for that

Sounds like a good way to get referred to a psychologist, particularly one that tends to "get the issue solved WITHOUT meds". See the problem with this angle is that the doctors really don't wanna prescribe for that shit either, it can get them into trouble these days if you wind up in treatment for abusing them or get caught selling them. Ask for no meds and you'll get no meds.

And don't you dare imply that he can get prescribed xanax and adderal in the same visit. To even get both from the same doc would be hard...

I basically just talked to the psychiatrist. She asked whats up. I said I think 2 much and get side tracked easily. She gave me vyvanse. Went back told her it made my dick shrivel up to try and get on adderall, but instead she just upped my dosage. Stopped seeing her and stopped taking drugs because I'm not a drug addict and I don't need drugs to function.

If you were prescribed them in a different country you legit just tell them that. Hey I was diagnosed with anxiety and ADHD, and was recently on these medications before I moved. Etc. They might ask for medical records, or they might not. The doctor may not agree with your original diagnoses because only retarded doctors prescribe xanax and adderall together, and ask for you to be tested again.

When I was tested for ADHD I saw the psychiatrist, and he basically took out the DSM-V booklet. I told him I was diagnosed as a child and still believe I have ADHD. He looked at the definition, handed the book to me, and said does this sound like what you have? I said yes. Then he sent me to the prescribing doctor and bam. Drugs.

It's a strange thing, once one doctor has put you through the ringer and tried all the weak shit that doesn't work, diagnosed that you truly have a problem, then he prescribes the good shit and you don't get in a trouble with it, then the next doc doesn't have to srutinize you and put you through the ringer. However, I'd avoid asking the doc for both xanax and adderall. Just adderall this visit, schedule a return visit and maybe talk about the other....

But understand that it's a tightrope you must walk, even after he's begun prescribing, if you ask for too much, seem like you have problems or begin to ask for a multitude of things you can get high on, he may clam up and give you nothing.

I, personally, I'm just happy for the oxycontin I get. I've never pressed him any harder. Just be content with adderall.
