Any native japanese speakers here?
I'm trying to find info on the meaning of the word "makisode". It seems to be a type of sleeve or how a sleeve is folded?
if you can point me out to pictures or explain the word for me it would be amazing!
I don't read japanese, I only can do hiragana/kataka and a few kanjis here and there so it makes it hard to find information on it...

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB
I used to be, grew out of it! this is for work :D
What do you want to know?
See the left sleeve in the upper-right part of your pic labeled 筒袖? A makisode is a sleeve that looks as if that portion had been rolled up creating a triangular sleeve, not a quadrilateral one.

Ok! Thanks, so this is a hanten jacket that has a makisode sleeve?

That's a makisode sleeve, yeah, and does look like a hanten.
What is this for, anyway?

This word came up when I play with my name and things that my to-be company does. It would be fun for it to have a double meaning in japanese as well. This folded up sleeve has a nice background meaning, since it has been used in work clothes, its kind of you roll up your sleeves to focus on the work. Thank you very much!

Ah. Well, "maki" also means "husbandry", "firewood" and a type of tree. "Sode" has no homonyms.

Hmm, nice to know... Funny that I went outdoors to take some promopictures that had a nice forest background with a fire in the front.. I might have to do some more thinking with the promo pictures but I'm on the right track :D

Glad to be of service. I hope it forms up into something useful.
