I recommend putting saving 100% of your revenue until you can get a free savings account. You usually need a deposit of 500 until you can do this, which if you're working a minimum wage job is essentially 68 hours of work.

You can do this much work in about 2-3 weeks, depending on the job. Once you have a savings account, put 75% of your earnings in it, and the rest in your checking for whatever you might want to spend it on.

For extra try-hard, put 50% of your earnings in a long-term savings, and 35% in a short-term savings account. Then put the rest in a checking which you can spend as you will.

Personally, I got a job at papa johns as my dad works there. He got me hired, and I've been working part-time there since.

So long as you have a clean resume, they might consider you. Expect it to take a week for anyone to contact you if they're interested. If they take longer than a month, don't expect to get a call or anything from them.
