How can anyone oppose universal health care? wtf is wrong with republicans?

We just don't want poor people to die because they can't afford medicine, isn't this the most reasonable position? how can you oppose this?

Because they only focus on when they were younger and thought things were "better" since they didn't have to think hard or pay taxes. This is how the average Joe/Jane thinks.

As for actual Republicans, this is how they keep themselves and their rich buddies rich.

Is this the best argument you have?
It's pretty pathetic tbh

There are a lot of reasons to be against universal healthcare...

Let's start with the basics, first and foremost is where does the money come from? Personally about 50% of my income goes to taxes, yet I use very little of the services that money is used for.

Second If you look at countries that have universal healthcare, there are often long waits, long enough to where, as an example, Canadians who have a fast moving cancer will come to the US to get the treatment in time.

Third, when you guarantee something you inevitably increase the price for that thing, look at other government subsidised programs, like college, where prices have skyrocketed since the introduction of government subsidies.

Forth, this one is more personal, why in the hell do I want to pay for health care for someone who refuses to try in life? For someone who is abusing the system already, someone who wouldn't know a hard day's work if it bit them in the ass. Why should I be forced to pay for anything for that person? I wasn't born into money, hell my family was rejected for food stamps when I was young, we were poor. I worked my ass off for years after high school and college to get to where I am, why do I have to pay for someone who refuses to put in that effort?

I believe you are mostly wrong... see above

I disagree.

Unlike your opinionated cartoon, my real evidence shows that it is literally better to be nuked than run by liberals/niggers/poor people.
>>
>>722815394
I should not have to pay for someone elses treatment, ever.

It isn't fucking hard. I don't give a fuck whether some junkie lives or dies because of his own stupid decisions and I won't be punished because of it.

Fuck you commie.

As soon as something becomes necessary, especially to a significant percentage (in this retarded case, 100%) of the population, that thing becomes expensive. As soon as something necessary becomes expensive, it comes under more demand. As soon as something expensive becomes under more demand, it becomes exponentially more expensive.
This is why socialism/communism/marxism has not and does not work.

Notice how countries such as the USA, Germany and Japan all run on capitalistic and xenophobic - for lack of a better word - policies and government are some of the strongest in the world.
Notice how when a country uses communism/socialism, such as Russia and China, it fails miserably and they essentially have to rebuild the entire country.
Notice how China is now capitalist and is the most populated and probably the strongest country in the world :).

The US was run by a black liberal for the past 8 years and it's okay.
>>
>>722818734
Now that's funny...

No he left this country more divided than it has been in the last 3 decades, with more extremist groups than any time in history. Obama nearly destroyed this country, and at this point I am uncertain that we can claw ourselves back to the nation we should be.

My country has universal health care.

It's better to have a waiting line over kicking out people from the medical treatment they need to live, genius.

Small lines = someone is not getting healthcare and they die
>>
>>722817293
Also, when it comes to fatal diseases such as cancer, the waiting line is based on how severe is the situation. people with worse cases of cancer get treated before people with cases that can wait a tiny bit more
>>
>>722818140
Trump was just cutting hundreds of billions of dollars for the rich in the form of tax cuts.

Maybe he could fund universal health care instead of making the rich richer. i know this is a radical idea but i think saving life of poor people is more important than making rich people richer
>>
>>722819916
>>722819916
there are plenty of better things to fund than spending millions on already terminal patients.

People die, everyone dies, no amount of healthcare is going to stop that.
>>
>>722818734
Except it's not okay. He fucked us so hard that it's politically backwards, now. Liberals rioting because their nominee didn't win, because some guy who said pussy a decade ago won.

The rest of the world expecting the US and its people to be bitch-ass, apologetic faggots because some liberal limp noodle tried apologizing for shit which nobody wanted an apology. Making excuses for criminals while condemning law enforcement. Bitching out and attempting to outright ban a class of firearm instead of cracking down on existing regulations and their abusers or creating new regulations based on educating people about firearms instead of employing and promoting fear tactics to further stupefy and terrorize the already ignorant. He encouraged the supreme court to further dehumanize business owners by demanding by law that they run their businesses a certain way so as to grant certain minorities the special privilege of never being denied service for any reason (lest they cite it as discrimination based on the circumstances of their minority status).

The man took many steps to turn America into the limp-wristed, faggot bitch no part of the rest of the world holds any degree of fear for.

Respect secures business deals. Fear secures borders.

That is your opinion, the fact remains that, you are subsidising life for people who don't want or have to earn that life.

A human life is very insignificant, even with hundreds or even thousands of attempted genocides throughout history has barely mad a dent in the population expansion of humans on the whole. I, for one, do not support giving people who have neither the desire nor ability to work for their healthcare (by choice of course), to just give it to them.
>>
>>722820119
Human life is actually very significant because a society that does not care about the life of other human beings is a terrible society.

We should help each other, not let poor people die. is this really a hard concept for you to grasp?
>>
>>722821952
I grasp the concept, I just don't agree with it.

To you it sounds like I am saying "screw the poor people"

What I am really saying is that there is little excuse for being poor, all it takes is a little effort and you should be able to get a job that at least includes healthcare. Most poor people choose to be poor, either actively (milking the system for all it is worth) or passively (making poor life decisions). Then there are the few who try to make all the right moves, and life keeps throwing rotten tomatoes at them. The latter is the least common. I will help a poor person when they choose to try to help themselves. You cannot save someone unless they want to be saved.

Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happyness, key word there being pursuit. None of the three are a guarantee, and you have to work for them. We have lost that somewhere along the way.
