Do your own homework.
Way ahead of you. The homework isn't to find the meaning though, it's the 1000 word essay that comes after it. You guys have the easy job.
Wanting to be like a plant, like a seed, just waiting to sprout for spring? and the late white snow is like a new beginning, a "reset" of sorts?
This piece of poetry was written in 1985 by Hilda Morley, a jewish immigrant. The poem, The Whiteness is a focus on Morley using white as a keyword for innocence and obliviousness of the men and women of the world. Her use of the color white to describe a blank and clean canvas of a sheet that helps to rid a person of the past. Using the sheet, she describes life as another chance to make up for “time lost” that “can be made up”. Morley’s using her choice of words to capture an interested reader to be intrigued with what life feels like it is doing. Also, April is a time that is peculiar to mention snow because it is considered spring.

Oh shit thanks. Now I have to discern what relationships the meaning has with the "sound/rhythm". I got this. 1000 words of BS coming up.

It's a fucking description of snow that you're supposed to pull meaning from. Trust me I majored in English creative writing emphasis program and make money as a songwriter.
