Im 22, older brother had a kid, ended up getting custody but didn't want to ruin his life, so I got forced into babysitting around 50 hours a week starting when I was 16 the kid is now 6, I have no license, I walk him to school, I pick him up and babysit him until he goes to bed.

Yea so what? I bought my drivers license in Eastern Europe, a real license, for a few hundred €. Bought myself a Porsche a few layers later and taught myself to drive. Later exchanged my license for a Swiss drivers license and passed required driving test with perfect marks. To this day I still don't know half the traffic signs. Driving is 99% common sense. Never got into an accident. Honestly I think driving exams are useless, they should simply do logic tests because that's all you need.

These threads make me realize that though I fucked some things up, I'm doing a lot better.

My advice to everyone in this thread is one step at a time, baby steps. Doing that will ensure none of that 1 step forward, 2 steps back stuff.

I went from being a NEET with a medical issue, unable to walk, to getting back into school and starting a business. Neither of them are going amazingly right now, but it's one step at a time and fixing it as you go.

I don't own a car anymore. My cheap freebie high school one from my parents eventually wore out and couldn't afford to keep fixing it or get a new one. But I'm going to try to have cheap a $5000 car by next month, and a nice car by the end of the year.

The point is, you might need a season or two (that is, a year or two - it took me 2 years) to recover from your mental or physical hardships. IF it takes you 6 months to draw up a plan, so be it, at least you will have your plan. Just, in the mean time, do things that you -CAN- do - For example, OP seems like he isn't doing good, but he CAN workout while he's working on his plan - You might be able to workout too while you work on yours.

I was in a similar situation when I was 20. I of course had a license though because I had a life during high school. Got tired of being cooped up at home, enlisted to air force. I fell off a ladder a couple of months ago. Torn the MCL and fractured my distal femur in my right knee. I have to wear a full leg brace and walk on crutches so I can't drive. Really sucks.
