It was not meant to be breathed into your lungs. None of the added flavors were ever tested to be breathed.

Custard Notes are the chief concern. They make the buttery flavor in your vape. They cause "popcorn lung".

As a resident faggot I can disagree entirely.
I work in a lab to create E-Liquid. We're only allowed to use flavorings/acids that have been approved for vaping. Capellas has an entirely different part of there website meant purely for vaping, same goes for Flavor Art Italy and Flavor Apprentince.
Regarding Diacetyl; Some companies still continue to add it to their flavorings but most offer a (DX) Version with next to no Diacetyl and AP values.

Yeah that was a mistake I made when I started. I was getting really strong juice (like 16/18mg) and had a shitty pen type.

I talked to someone who knew better and was informed I could just go with 3 or 6 and up the wattage on a decent set up if I wanted it stronger. I don't know if that's exactly true but it worked for me.

Now I'm comfortably on 3mg juice and not even chain vaping.
