Subway is hosting a free 6-inch deal sub here in Scotland for Valentine’s Day
Taking cash out of ATM next to shop
>‘Homeless’ man begging for change in the doorway of Subway
>Give him a few coins and a winning scratch-card I had
>Leave come back to subway for lunch
>See ‘homeless’ man getting a premium sub
>MFW he’s wearing a Superdry jacket and £50 Adidas trainers
>At the till, the manager is saying quietly to the cashier just give him it, I’ll explain later.
>When leaving ‘homeless’ man asks me for more money
Now I don’t have an explanation for this apart from Subway are hiring people to pretend to be homeless and then splitting the donations. It might be a bit tinfoil but Subway are some of the worst greedy corporate bastards and people in Edinburgh are renowned for their generosity towards beggars, despite a recent study showing 8/10 homeless people in the UK have homes.
