Is there a chart somewhere that lists everything wrong with Trump's cabinet members?

I know secretary of state is bad because he is big oil.

Education is bad because she hates public schools.

So you get someone who has no idea how the education system works, has no opinion on how it should work, got the job because the family has given 200 million to the GOP and is ready to enact whatever the GOP establishment tell her to do (e.g. take tax payer money from the education system and give it to private schools that have no minimum stadards guidelines so they be run as cheap as possible... that's the bit where she kept going "I support accountability" during the hearings to avoid the questions probing this).

Considering Trump is bringing back manufacturing jobs (Ford and Apple and Carrier etc) as well as tech jobs (CEO of Intel invests $7b for tech plant in Arizona), I'd say both white and blue collar workers may benefit from this Administration.

The reason blue collar work has been going down since the 80's is not because of Mexicans and Chinese but because of technology. It only gets shipped overseas when foreign workers are cheaper than the technology.

When Trump promises tax breaks, like he did to Carrier, all they do is use the money to simply improve automation and lay off staff: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/11/30/hundreds-could-still-lose-jobs-at-carriers-indianapolis-plant-despite-trump-deal.html

>It works well enough for intellectual liberals who encourage their kids in STEM subjects and to go do degrees in Engineering or Medical fields and other careers actually in demand .
Even ignoring your snobbish bigotry, that's exactly the problem, isn't it? Highly motivated kids from strong families that support and encourage learning always do well in school. They don't need help, and the only thing teachers can really take credit for is that they didn't screw up so horrifically that even those kids couldn't.

The real challenge is everyone else. The mediocre students, the poor students, those from fucked up families, or the wrong side of the tracks. And the solution that does include things like trade school (which needs to be rethought, because the manufacturing base has vanished).

Yea, too early to say. So far I like what Trump is doing, although his cabinet picks sorta scares me. Trump did say he likes to be unpredictable, so there's that.
He's also took action in Chicago, the city that has held the highest crime rate in the U.S. for the last decade. I've seen several YouTube videos in which black people have discussed about martial law in Chicago and they agree with Trump. Some of them don't support Trump or even hate him because they think he's racist, but they like the fact that he's actually confronting domestic violence (something the previous Administration didn't do).
>>
>>722382926
Did you listen to the progressives as well? Because as far as I can tell, they haven't met an argument they're actually willing to listen to. This polarization and tribalism has doomed rational discussion. Politics is no longer about reason, pragmatism, and figuring out what works. It's now a religion, and anyone who questions the tenets of either of the two main faiths (parties) is a heretic who must be shouted down.
>>
>>722383184
I agree with this, but I don't think technology is a bad thing. There have always been jobs that get outdated. Also these automation machines have to be built and calibrated and maintained so there will always be new jobs that didn't exist before being created.

DeVos has shown no indication of doing anything other than blindly pushing through whatever reformation the GOP establishment want her to. There is no shakeup here, she bought her way into a prestigious position and the people making decisions are the ones who've always done it.

She literally has no qualifications for the job and that's considered a good thing by Trump voters. What you need is someone who's actually studied the problem and has proposals that experts say are good but are too radical to enact under normal establishment conditions.

electrician here. Stay mad that i hired in 2 months out of high school and now make $35 an hour now with as much or as little overtime as i want.

Sure its not $500,000 a year like im sure you make. but its more then enough to fund my retirement, provide for my family with everything we need and want with money to spare and i dont have to put in 60 to 80 hours a week like some of my old friends who went on to college and make more money then i would know what to do with.

Some things in life are not worth the price you have to pay to get them. i am happy with what i have.

Yes it would be amazing to make $250,000 a year like one of my old friends dose but im not willing to hardly ever see my family, get devoriced 3 times and be depressed with my only comfort being my income.

How the fuck is nobody talking about Michael Flynn? Dude quit his post at DIA because he was incompetent (read: conspiracy theorist) and treated people badly. Then tonight he quit his post as National Security Advisor because he's a fucking traitor and then lied to the Vice President about it. I mean, he's worked in intelligence for decades and didn't think his conversation with the Russian ambassador would be recorded? Come the fuck on!

This was 2 days after the Observer article about how the NSA didn't want to share the good stuff with the administration because they had no trust. And before you go calling the Observer a liberal rag, it's owned by Jared Motherfucking Kushner. So it was either a planted story or actual journalistic integrity, but it isn't a hatchet job by some liberal conspiracy.

I wasn't saying it's a bad thing. Just trying to explain the world to the "It's all Mexicans fault and protectionism will fix our problems" crowd. The manufacturing jobs are going... trade work is following. They need to upskill and not just find scapegoats.
>>
>>722383909
Don't give a shit about DeVos. I've just been pointing out that no matter how bad she is, she can't be worse than another establishment pick.

And I wouldn't rely on experts too much because "experts" in a failed system don't actually have any qualifications when it comes to replacing that system something new. In fact, they're generally the worst possible choice because they default back to the old patterns.

Not at all. i know there are all ranges of income and the more school you go to then better chance you have at getting a higher paying job.

At im not "just getting by" by any means.

I love what i do and I cant stand office work myself. If you can make 100k a year by doing it then more power to you.

But that is not the norm i see with higher income jobs. the norm tends to be 60+ hours a week with family life taking a big hit so they can get more money.

Then again my expensive tastes are not cars and houses. I love my old truck and see no need to buy a new car. And i love living in the middle of bmfuck nowhere with enough land to have a nice big garden, a lake to fish and woods to hunt.

Immigrants with U.S. citizenship are entitled to the same rights as Americans who are born in this country.

Immigrants who DO NOT have U.S. citizenship or are pending to receive it aren't entitled to the same rights given to American-born or immigrants with U.S. citizenship.

It's as simple as that. Anyone who doesn't have U.S. citizenship aren't entitled to the same U.S. rights as the people who do have U.S. citizenship. People often get this mixed up, so I hope I clarified it for you.

Yeah. It's how the money is allocated. A lot of the public teachers are just "doing their time" with their union benefits, and expecting a "nice" retirement. Many public schools treat students like numbers. A one-size-fits all approach. Get them to pass k-12, and that's it.

You need to go back to 5th grade and learn about the US Constitution and how the three co-equal branches of government function to keep each other in check and balance. The President does not have unreviewable authority even if he parrots "national security". Oh, and immigrants granted visas or permanent residency are afforded all the due process rights that citizens have. You know why Guantanamo exists? Because those detainees would have full rights to due process in US courts if they were brought on to US soil.
>>
>>722388483
You're vastly overestimating that.
Trump's entire book is just the tip of the iceberg of how shady his business dealings are. If you wish to play this game, we could easily take all of Trump's shady dealings alone to fill up a server, then fill another with just his personality flaws. Not to mention the same treatment for each of his most controversial cabinet picks that have no business being in the positions they are.

Hillary should be in prison. But because she is above the law she isn't. Any person that has ever has a security clearance knows what she did was illegal and would go to prison for it. In fact there are people in prison right now for doing less with a clearance. That is just one thing. I hope she dies slowly and painfully. Obama needs to be striped of every presidential benefit he has because he is not a citizen of the US and it has been proven that his birth certificate is a fake. Also the DNC needs to be disbanded for corruption. Not only rigging the election against Bernie, but for all the other shit they have committed during the election.
>>
>>722388900
I know the difference but you are a barely functioning brainstem that cant read and definitely cannot comprehend. You never mentioned legal or illegal - you said immigrants. I must confess I'm not as informed on One China so I can't iterate a response.
