I did shit like that for years, scraping by as a development intern/assistant designer. Slept with tons of higher ups (women and men but mostly women).

Eventually my name started to get passed around. People I knew were starting to make it on screen, in galleries, on stage. I started to get invitations to this award ceremony and that opening ceremony and it was always speech where I was featured: "anon is a big part of this!"

People started to respect my input and instincts. Coupled with the fact that a few key people literally "loved" me and the promotions came quickly and I haven't looked back.

The prospect for art school kids is harsh. But if you commit yourself to it with optimism, stop doubting your career path and keep yourself busy then shit will come your way
