I always look at collarbone and shoulders. Seems to be a fairly accurate gauge.

Basically if you can see the V in her collarbone, good chance she's not overly chunky. The shoulders come into play here too, the transition from neck to shoulder should be pronounced...not overly gradual. Either of these would indicate a higher than desirable fat percentage.

Of course there's always exceptions, but like I said it seems to be fairly accurate for a quick assessment.
