I have a cousin with severe down's syndrome and her parents have been through hell trying to take care of her. it is a 100% struggle with her from the moment she wakes up until she falls asleep. she is completely dependent on her parents to do everything for her, and for that reason her parents have never had a vacation or even a day off from taking care of her.
