Anytime we gather friends/family, we usually have everybody pitch in funds, or bring something they want cooked so everyone else can try it out. Conversions are pretty much what you stated- the team who scores makes it known they'll try for two, then they line up with their offensive players, while the other team brings out their normal defense, then they go for it on the play. The usual rules apply as far as penalties and all.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I spent Saturday cleaning up in the garage and backyard. Gonna be time to plant the garden soon since the weather is warming up gradually.

Doing dishes always reminds me of my days in the dish pit, good exercise but not always the cleanest or most fun job in the back of house. Here's dinner from Friday- mirin glazed salmon, pickled ginger, some shredded cabbage, and a basic tofu soup in dashi broth. I made some other stuff over the weekend, but was too hungry to bother with a picture.

It's pretty damn tasty when it's made right. The mix of spices is great. I feel like Hungarians have mastered the art of paprika though. I like trying out all sorts of new cuisines, but the ones I'm most comfortable cooking myself are Chinese, Japanese, and Eastern European recipes. More recently I've been trying my hand at Nordic recipes since they use a lot of seafood and wild game- both of which I always have plenty of for cooking.
