Unpopular opinion:Lower tiers are more fun because they're more unpredictable. Only in a tier 2 match would some knob charge you in his BT-2 and only in a tier 2 match is there a chance it'd actually work.

That said, my Tortoise was pretty sweet.

Serious question: Is WoT or WT exclusively P2W or do I ha e a chance grinding?

I play a shitload of BF1 but with no tank assault or air superiority I've been looking at the non-infantry games. Sure it's fun going 50-2 but when you're the only tank on the ground or plane in the air it turns into a joyride with number porn.

WoT is pretty good. The problem with the bias comes from the mechanics they've in place.
The way their game plays right now, it just favors heavy armor over mobility and range. But that doesn't mean mobiltity and/or range is obsolete. But when plebs play the game and get wrecked by a russian tank because they can't get passed the armor/don't know what weakspots are/are incapable of proper positioning, the saltyness begins.

One of the only things i've really got to go complain about in WoT is the Tiger, and the way it currently plays. it feels so underpowered.
Aside from that, arty is cancer. But i've learned to live with it, and once you analyse teams and realize when an arty is present. Wether he's going to focus you based on your tank etc. It actually becomes an 'ok' gameplay mechanic when you worry about that shit too.


Arty's have cost me a key or two though.

Being smart about your playstyle and knowing the tanks your up against (i.e weakspots and such) you should be able to deal with any tank with reg/he ammo.
A few premium rounds (which can be funded with ingame credits) is never a bad idea though, just incase you get a shit matchup.

I think you're underrating mediums a bit but I see what you're saying.
And I will never understand why people complain about artys so much. Just stay behind cover. Every map has plenty of cover to do this. You should be keeping cover between you and the enemy spawn points anyway, and artys usually stay there. And 90% of artys reloads are so slow they can't kill you on their own anyway.

Everyone who isn't brain dead agrees the console version is made far more child friendly. It has some really nice visuals going on thats for sure but its just way too "casual".

The console version simply got all the updates visually because its a fixed platform so its more simple to develop for. I have no idea why the console version of the game is from like 4 years ago though. All those old pen values, 183s still doing hyper pen, old non updated armor, TDs still doing 850 alpha. What a mess.

Idk about console version, but on pc T110E5 is the most powerful tank for like a year, but its getting nerfed. And m48 patton js pretty great for pubs, and i dont own tds, nor do i have any interest in them

World of tanks
To understand the currency of wot, i neednto explain a few aspects of the game
1. Credits. You earn credits in every game from tier 1 to tier 5 no matter how you perform (in tier 6 you lose money only if you suck really hard and ur shels are expensive) but after tier 8, it becomes unsustainable for most average players (when i was a scrub i lost around 300k playing tier 10).
2. Consumables. There is something called a consumable . You have regular and premium ones (premium is 6.5 times more expensive and it gives you advantage in some games
3. Premium ammo. They are really expensive, and its debatable wether we acctualy need them. Almost every tank has some weakspot which can be exploited and gold ammo is used mostly for the lulz, or people who want to kill you asap, because of the chance of missing the weakspot with regular ammo.
4. Equipment. They improve your tanks performance by miles, rof, soft stats, view range, etc. And cost a kidney.
5. Slots. Can only be bought with gold, or earned by some mission, or you can sell a yearly gift tank.
6. Premium account - speed up your proggress in grind - you get 50% more xp and credits (gold, missions, events)
7. Free xp. Gold only, you literaly buy experience to unlock shit
8. Premium tanks. You buy a tank, which is supposed to be in between a stock tank and a fully upgraded one and earns 50% more cash

So basicly you pay to speed up your endless grind of credits and xp. In theory you can grind everything without these bonuses, but it will take you so much more time than what it would take you if you payed. And you'd get fed up lot quicker.

I understand you, i've dealt with the fact that in the game, tiger 1 has no armor for its tier. But tiger 1 is still great in the game, because of the gun.
