Even cheap Ibanez, for that matter. But having played many different guitars I can tell you that sound isn't the biggest difference. Playability is very important to me, and you can really notice why some guitars cost much more than others because their necks are very smooth, the frets are perfect, they stay in tune no matter what you do, and stuff like that. A cheap guitar doesn't have all those qualities.

This is my guitar, it Epi, a second brand from Epiphone (which is a second brand of Gibson XD). I paid 180 euros (with a good hardcase included) and it's really smooth, it stays tuned and has a really nice sound. I've tried better guitars and I feel the difference, but this was a good purchase.

I mostly find it useful to because I'm able to transpose notes onto the lower strings to avoid weird tunings, or jacking off the neck. take Curl of the Burl by Mastodon. instead of tuning A G C F A D and playing the first riff on the 6th and 5th strings, I can just stay tuned to standard F# B E A D G B E and hit the same notes on the 8th and 6th strings instead, avoiding a funky tuning just to play that one song.

Thinking about getting one of these in the next couple days. Found one on the cheap. I just want a sturdy, stage-worthy, simple workhorse.

Coming from an M-300FM it's gonna be an upgrade and one hell of a hassle saver coming from that shitty licensed floyd rose.
