Tea Thread.

Why types of teas do you drink /b/? How do you prepare it? What benefits do you look for in Tea?

What type of tea surpresses appiete?

Anything else Tea Related
>>
>>720314283
I'm personally looking for a tea that helps surpress appiete, I've heard that peppermint is useful for this?

Can anyone confirm? Also teas that relax you.
>>
>>720314283
Whenever I was sick or upset as a child, my mom would make me chamomile tea. When I started college, my parents moved from the east coast all the way to CA. I missed them so much, I would make myself chamomile tea at night to calm myself down. Now I drink it as part of my daily routine
>>
>>720314283
i drink the kind of tea made out of barley, grains, malt, and hops, and it's fermented, and it has alcohol

oh wait.... that's beer

my bad
>>
>>720314700
That's quite nice Anon. Did she brew in any special way? How's the taste?
>>
>>720314830
Beer is fine...I guess?

Do you drink it hot?
>>
>>720314988
idk what kind she used, it was usually store bought with a spoon of honey. Occasionally she'd have a special Mexican kind (we're Mexican, idk what the difference is to be honest) that I loved. I like the taste, it's pleasant but not overpowering
>>
>>720315374
yes i do actually, well... not hot, but @ room temperature. i find cold beer quite off-putting, especially heavier/darker beers

i can drink an american shit-tier light beer cold, but i'm not a peasant, so i don't really drink that stuff anyway
>>
>>720314988
This tea, but a different manufacture was the one I liked; we bought it from a Hispanic specialty store
>>
>>720315568
>>720315826

Did you ever find the specific tea type again? Have you tried any other types?
>>
>>720315825
Interesting, most people prefer cold.

Do you find the taste to be better? What's offputting about cold beers?

This was the picture I meant to attach to that comment Anon. Again, I'd recommend going to a Hispanic specialty market, or ask your local abuelita
>>
>>720316049
not sure really but my dad thought it was pretty wierd too, and said my great grand dad used to let a beer sit for hours at the bar as he drank it, so i guess i get it from him

but yea, the flavor of the beer is much more pronounced warm. i think that's why cold beer started in the first place, cause people were just making really shitty beer and drinking as much as they could, a practice still in use today (as i said, all american light beers)
>>
>>720316438
Do you let your beer breath too? Or would you open it after it warms up instead of leaving it open?
>>
Funny I should come across this thread, I just made myself a nice cup of rooibos. Although as far as other teas go, I enjoy a nice cup of darjeeling, and like Iroh, I love jasmine tea.

Lapsang sushan or whatever the fuck
>>
Cinnamon tea or field mont for me
>>
>>720316801
Souchong, I thing. Good stuff.
>>
>>720316686
i'm not really that snobbish about it, i just like to predominantly drink heavier beers, and i find it more pleasurable to experience the fullest flavor of the beer without having it masked by the drinkability of cold

all that "breathing" shit is rhetoric anyhow, fancypants wine "connoisseurs" use all that drinking technique shit to make themselves feel like superior high-society tryhards. i just really, really like a well-crafted, balanced, high ABV fermented beverage, and i like it warm
>>
Ginger Tea. Helps with being an alcohol.

PG tips is only good for the monkey toy when they do them.
Yorkshire Tea is the only way to go if you want milk.
If you don't want milk then its Earl Gray.

Thin china for Earl Gray.
Thick is used for Yorkshire but it does create the best taste possible.
PG tips is lower class so don't bother worrying over what to use, it will taste weak as a french soldier no matter what you do.

I will not argue over this matter.
Any word said against this will be a threat to the queen.
Good day to you all.

I'm sorry, i shouldn't of ended on such a strong note.
Does anyone have another subject to talk about?
I will try to a modest in my posts but i can not promise i will.

in many markets you can find dried chamomile. get that shit into a a pot of boiling water
add a couple of dried rose buds- usually sold in the same places
1/4 ts of tumeric
squirt of lemon

drink at the end of the day when you are close to bedtime
come back and tell us how fucking amazingly relaxed you felt in the morning.

For 3-4 cups of tea, i use 2 packets of Earl Grey and 1 of Plantation Mint (both black teas), 1 tbsp of vanilla extract, 1/4th tsp of mint extract and 4 tbsp of cane sugar.
i prefer this setup simply because i like it. it wakes me up, it tastes good, yeah its not really healthy, but i would rather have that than coffee
>unless its costa rican fresh ground straight black coffee.

I'm not snobby about my tea. Love it all. Smells, taste, sweet or not sweetened. I do prefer my tea on the stronger side.
Personally love me some Chai tea, though I recently decided to try some more black teas. Macha is kind of a fun green tea to drink, it's rather tasty
>>
I usually drink Earl Grey, or anything of the sort. The flavor is whatever I feel on, but I do enjoy the mint.

I usually put a few spoon fulls of sugar and some honey in it when it's fresh off the pot. I don't do anything too fancy, though once I ground up some cinnamon in some special, now defunct chocolate-flavoring type tea a few years ago. Was surprisingly great.

Also, props on Uncle Iroh, he was one of my favorites besides Zuko. +1

Sweet chilled tea (mostly in America) is disgusting, thought up by autists, and tastes like defecate. Anyone who drinks it should go off themselves in a vat of it.

Yorkshire tea? Shit tier. Christ even Tetley tastes better than that!

Also (for us proper tea drinkers like) is it milk first then tea, or splash it in after brewing? - personally like to add after to get that cloudy dissapation and to know how dark or light to get it...

Chamomile is known for being very calming, great for before bed. I also really like it with a sweet snack, it seems to wash away the sweetness between bites.

If you put milk in first you deserve to be sodomised with a chainsaw. No one in their right mind would put it in first.

If you see someone doing so, tell them off.
>>
>>720325314
That is exactly my point. The worst part is, there are different flavours. Except they all taste like pure sugar. You can try Darjeeling and Earl Grey, and they both taste like half the cup is pure can sugar.

Milk after, unless you're brewing the tea outside the cup.

And the last time i tried Tetley i ended up with a broken tea bag.
I don't trust them, I've heard from others that they cut a lot of corners.

Maybe expand it a little?
If anyone doubts we can do it they will be executed for treason.
It may take a while to bring back the death penalty though.

Why execute them? We can sell them to the muslims until we take all their oil money. That way, we can make profit off of them and we still control the world.
