I've always had a thing for portable vaporizers, but I do think it's DEFINITELY worth it. I don't know how much weed it saves, but it's incredibly handy and discreet.

I use a small grinder. It does the job, and is nice and portable. I don't judge people who use other means to break it apart (I'd never heard of scissors and a shot glass before, may have to give that a shot), but honestly the grinder is the way to go. Just makes it faster, more evenly ground up, and takes less effort. As a former (5+ year) stoner, I'd usually rather be bowl-less than grinder-less.

I've got a rig, but lost my medical card so I can't get dabs as easily anymore. I go through about 1 oz a month of herb and I'm pretty content with that.

I have no idea how much oil I would go through in 1 month, but it'd probably end up costing me a bit more. Dabs are far nicer in a lot of ways though. When I first started out smoking pot back around 6 years ago, I used to fine chop my weed in a little wooden box using a square edge razor blade. Once you get the hang of it, it really isn't as bad as it sounds. That got old quick tbh. I got around 4 years ago a 4 piece all metal diamond tooth grinder. It's my best friend man. I got it from some random gifts and jewelery sidewalk cart downtown for 10 bucks

Yea I had the same dose last time and got stuck in a negative feedback loop, shit sucked pretty hard but I don't think I tripped as hard as you, just got caught in negative emotions.

Personally my advice to you is definitely try the tea, it's rather enjoyable and you can add a lemon and ginger tea bag which will help with nausea and taste. Also turn your phone on airplane mode to prevent any bad text messages and idiotic things like googling "are we in a simulation"

It's really rough to say since potency always varies due to strain and the growing conditions

Some people say you want to dip your toes in first and build up to bigger trips, but others argue this just causes more anxiety and you should just jump straight in and go for a "regular" dose.

So it's really up to what you think you are comfortable with, are you prepared for a difficult trip or not?

Regardless I would say start with a dose between 1.5g and 3g but if you have highly potent shrooms and eat 3g you really could trip your god damn ass off.

Also be prepared for the down being rather miserable, don't drink coffee like a fuckwit and maybe have some weed on hand to help you sleep after.

Most importantly trip in a safe comfortable location in order to maintain good vibes. First time tripping bring a friend you can trust to share the experience with you, also have someone on hand to call in case either of you have a psychotic break or get caught in negative feedback loops. Maybe read some trip reports so you are prepared for the possibilities that can happen, both positive and negative.

Most importantly though just have a fantastic time.

All I'd say is just wait till it feels right, go in with no expectation, but an intent if you like. Mushrooms are easy, worst case scenario you trip the fuck out for 4 hours and then your peak is over and its mostly smooth sailing. Good or bad its all a big spectacle. Its acid you gotta watch out for.

But honestly, first time taking shrooms everyone has a good one. Shrooms are easy on virgins. You go in with no expectations and just sort of take it all in, the experience is so novel and unprecedented that you're just captivated by it. Its on subsequent trips that the trouble can start.

I've hit a month tolerance break right now and it feels really good, dreams have come back which is fucking weird but I feel like remembering has really helped my psyche.

You will get hardcore withdrawals most likely but the benefit is you feel so much more clear headed and have much more time every day since you aren't wasting hours just choofing away for a really fleeting high

A calm safe environment and a trip sitter are the most important things IMO.

Mental state is a big deal here anon. Shrooms tend to bring out the deepest parts of your brain, so if you're carrying around too much you can end up in a really bad place, 2 out of my total of 5 trips were bad. The second bad trip (and last time I've ever taken hallucinogens) really fucked me up bad man. I literally thought I was going to die for whatever reason and nobody could convince me otherwise. If it weren't for the sober people in my house I'd have 100% gone to the hospital to get my stomach pumped.

Sucks because I never really got a memorable experience from shrooms, refused to take acid cus 10 hours is too long, and now I'm too scared to try again.
