The transporter takes matter apart, saves a temp file of the matter's configuration, converts the matter into energy, and reassembles it via the temp file. With me so far?

The food replicator takes matter (protein base blocks and quadrotriticaeli) but instead of saving a temp file of the matter's arrangement, it reassembles it according to a saved file. Basically you transport a plate of spaghetti one time, save the temp file, and use it to reassemble raw materials into a plate of spaghetti.

There is absolutely no reason that this device could not de-materialize a damaged hull section and then rematerialize it from a backup file to instantly repair any damage to the ship.

Star Wars ships use laser weaponry. The quadlasers on the Falcon, turbolasers on capital ships, etc. The Enterprise has gone up against a few ships with laser weapons. The crew basically scoffs at how primitive and ineffectual they are. A Star Destroyer poses no threat to the Enterprise.

Even assuming the enterprise could beam entire crews out and fuck em up (which they cant, not at once anyway - any time they have to beam lots of people, they end up having to take a good while to do them group by group), a good-sized star trek ship could take on a similar sized star wars ship.


Either way, it wouldnt matter much.
Hyperspace in star wars seems to be much faster than warp in star trek, and the fleets in SW are much bigger too.

The Federation would get its shit pushed in by sheer numbers and logistics.

Star Trek weaponry is technologically superior. They are well past using lasers, and well past missiles. Basic torpedos aren't gonna do shit, photon torpedos might work depending on which generation of Enterprise you are shooting at, to guarantee damage you gotta be using quantum torpedos, no star destroyer is packing those.
