I was serving as a machine gunner just some boot as bitch fresh in and on my first deployment. Back then iraq was like the wild west.
We had pretty chill ROEs that gave us permission to shoot people for basically anything. Especially since at the time marshal law was in effect. So people put past midnight we free game. People digging hole were free game. Because the whole idea back then was being out past midnight ment you were up to no good and digging holes meant you were planting and IED which wasnt always the case because they would dig holes to shit.
