So /b/, how's it about time you do some research on flat Earth?

Flat Earth was never disproved, we've just found explanations on how everything is possible on the globe model.

Here are some proofs against globe model
>We can clearly see the Chicago Skylines (image), from over 60 miles! Over 60 miles there should be 732 meters of curvature. YET the Willis tower, the largest tower in Chicago, is 442 meters high! You can still see it and almost every building!

>Gyroscopes always face one direction, they resist any force applied to them. On a ball Earth, a gyroscope should appear to rotate a full 360 degrees over a 24 hour period, yet that doesn't happen!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0L7NxP7o_0

>Air Plane pilots make ridiculously long flight paths on the globe model. With unnecessary turns and such. On the flat Earth model, they all make perfect sense!

Does she really look like she's on the ISS? Or is she really just on Earth. If she were in zero gravity, her hair should go everywhere, yet it only goes upward.

She is actually suspended upside down and slightly at an angle for her to appear as if she is in zero gravity, the reality is, is that hair should go every direction in zero gravity, which it clearly is not. It also explains why her face is red.

Right, how silly of me, they are trying to dismantle the beliefs in a magic book. Tell you what, prove one thing in the bible actually happened with hard proof, and I'll start believing your flat earth theory.
On a side note, if you could explain how seasons work on your flat earth without using "magic", that would be great.

Winds in the southern hemisphere are almost twice as fast as in the North. This allows for jet streams. Aircraft can fly through high speed wind allowing reduced drag and the air speed indicator should not show a speed double as fast as the plane should be going, it should be relative to the air around the plane. Also the current flat Earth map is a projection of NASA's image, we don't actually know what the shape of the Earth is, it may be completely different and some points may be closer than others.

Flat earth was a known satire movement back in the early days of the internet. These morons failed to see the sarcasm and humor and took it seriously.

The true answer is that I grew up in a home where my parents didn't implant a religion in me, they are of the opinion that religion is private and something you choose yourself if you want it.
Once I got old enough to get interested in different religions, I was past the age of blind acceptance and noticed all the similarities in all the different religions. They couldn't all be right, so the simplest answer was that they were most likely all wrong.
I do like reading about a broad variety of religions though, they have some cool stories and showcase different cultures.

>So /b/, how's it about time you do some research on flat Earth?

nahh, lets do it on something that matters, and no trolling will be necessary

I'd just be happy if they actually came up with some science that could explain the possibility of a flat earth really.
I'm mostly just shitposting, interspersed with actual discussion about how I feel about religions and stuff.

1. The earth is not a perfect sphere, and the curvature is an average, so it is useless to apply it as you are doing.

2. Even if gyroscopes 'should' behave one way and in practice behave differently, it is not any more a proof of the earth being flat than it is of anything else.

3. This is another nonsequitor. Long, unnecessary flight paths are not proof of a flat earth.

Try to convince you that the earth is flat? I'm assuming you are already convinced. I'll afford you the charity that you made a typo. Then, I will go on to say that you have set your position so that you cannot be convinced.

I can't convince you that the earth is an oblate spheroid any more than I can convince you that Australia is a real continent.

You should kill yourself, BTW.

You would have to have massive acceleration to fly to "outer-space"

It's a mirage. Cold layer of air above the lake and rest of the air is hotter, the light in horizon gets bent a bit, thus you see the top half of the tall buildings.

in the pic you can see another not-so-clear-mirage

Flying an airplane 'straight' for long enough. This is ridiculous. If you want to fight against gravity you should be travelling perpendicular to its force not 'straight.' What a nonsense word.

In any case, the way that a pilot operates a plane, however counter-intuitive, is not a 'proof' of anything. Jesus.

Why the fuck is proof synonymous with a youtube video you saw?
>>
>>718999372
How about videos of normal people sending stuff with a baloon to the "space" you can see the curve there lol.
>>
>>718999745
i'll bite
those people aren't experiencing "zero gravity" in space, they're in a constant state of free fall due to the centripetal force caused from orbit accelerating them towards the center of the earths mass being corrected by the satellites tangential velocity

I would too but being it's bullshit with no actual basis they're not going to come up with any scientific data and since they are almost all completely anti-science would see no need to prove it that way. They're not going to give one shred of evidence much less actually refute proof to the contrary because it's clearly impossible. I actually keep trying to come up at this with an open mind, even though my first instinct is that it's retarded bullshit. By the end of the thread I only end up even more convinced that my instinct was correct.

Yeah I feel the same, I've tried so many times to be open and get them to convince me without getting the "educate yourself orblord" response. It never happens though
>>
>>719003756
Dooood!!! Nice catch! I see them clearly as well!

Wait a moment, that picture is shopped.
If you look at the top of that glacier, there is a face shape, that same shape repeats further down on it.

>>718999372
What is your explanation on other planets appearing as globes?
>>
>>719017273
The only answer I've gotten from them so far is that the other planets are decorations in the sky or some shit like that.

if i can see the moon during the day , why can't i see a distant sun at night?
