>>718865125

I didn't get the chance to thank people in Reimu's thread. I hope they're still around.

Hi Kagami.
I'm new to these threads, but I've been feeling weird lately.
How can someone socially awkward like me meet a nice girl at my next public speech meet?
>>718866419
hn.. i don't know
>>718866451
That anime makes me cry, you'll get so annoyed with me.

Hi, motherfuckers~ How's it goin'?
>>718866451
Yes, it is me.
>>718866569
Finally, someone who appreciates good music.
>>718866512
If you're socially awkward, that just means you need practice! Make some goals for yourself. Try to start conversations with a new girl once a week or whenever you get the chance! Think of it this way: if the conversation fails, you already weren't going to meet her before you decided to talk so what did you lose? And even if it fails, you got some practice and maybe learned a thing or two for next time!
>>718866383
I'll answer to whatever name you want to identify me as.
i dread going to my boyfriend's house, he's too much of a pessimist it's a mood killer
>>718866563
Well, it's up to you but I really do think it's something you'll want to hear about.
>>718866512
If I may, I might have a strategy for you to employ.
At your next meet, practice your speech aloud to yourself, within earshot of the girl you'd like to interact with. Proceed to ask her, as awkwardly/flustered as comes natural, if she's willing to help you practice. Once you do your speech, ask her for thoughts and criticism on your method. It's important to ask her this because, by doing so, you are building rapport by valuing her opinion.
Now, if she does not take to helping you practice, which I'd imagine is rare, since people, when put on the spot, tend to give affirmative responses, simply try another girl.
If you're worried about having trouble even initiating conversation and approaching the girl, I suggest running a quick errand beforehand. The social interaction between you and the register clerk primes you for further social interaction, making your task a touch easier. You don't necessarily need to talk to a clerk; any semi-stranger will do, this is just what came to mind.
>>718866948
Orihara it is. Izaya might be too personal at this point.
>>718866563

"Look, I care about you so that's why I'll be direct, I don't really love you anymore and I want to end this relationship, if we kept going like this we would end up both getting hurt, so that's why I'm breaking up with you."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXoZsgNHquM
>>718869298
Be direct, be clear, and have conviction.
A mistake I see people doing far too often is trying to pin the failure of the relationship onto themselves. Exercising that saying, "It's not me, it's you." By doing this, you aren't doing that person any favors. They will not be aware of their flaws, they will not strive to correct them, and they will not grow on a personal level.
So, sit down and talk with your girlfriend in an environment free from any distractions. Make it clear that you cherished the time you spent together, but give her the reasons why you'd like to break up. Don't go heavy-handed and rattle off a list of her shortcomings, but try to frame it as more of a fundamental difference in lifestyle, personality, belief, etc.
And do not try and remain friends.
>>718869894
I would rather not stand. but I will listen.
>>718870010
ok giving her a list of reasons sounds like adding salt to the wound
maybe i'll break up first then give her closure if she asks

>>718870359
Not being clear from the onset leaves room for complications and misinterpretations. Give her the reasons.
Yes, it might hurt her. But breakups are painful for a reason. By giving her the reasons, you are at least fostering opportunity for her to improve herself.

>>718874265
Most of it was practicing deeper voices at work; Work being Overnight shifts at Maccas.
Late night with one other person in the store and 6 hours of being alone gave me time to sing or say stuff without being embarrassed by anyone else listening.
-Koi
>>718875321
How I can remain calm under stress, since most of the time I don't really care that much to begin with. Uhm... oh, are you studying or working?
>>718875421
Let's hope that they don't switch you to a day shift, lest you lose your golden voice. How long have you been frequenting the threads by the way?
>>718875886
It appears we're similar, you and I. As for my occupation, I'm doing both, going to school and working.
>>718876344
I quit my job actually, last October to move to live in the city with one of my younger half-brothers.
Doing the ol' jobsearch bullshit now.
My voice should only improve from here.
-Koi
>>718876344
What are you studying and what's your job?
>>718875421
>being alone gave me time to sing or say stuff without being embarrassed by anyone else listening
did you have any favorite songs when you chose to sing?
>>718876869
It was mostly Daft Punk albums, Infected Mushroom (like I Wish) albums and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't remember off the top of my head. I'd also hum some of Lazerhawk's stuff.
We had a manager who couldn't sing very well, so any time I worked with him, he'd throw me off. He can't whistle very well either. Nor do math, or cook.
-Koi
>>718876699
The dreaded job search...I wish you well and hope that you get the job you deserve. Don't get too discouraged, okay?
>>718876733
I'm currently studying computational neuroscience, but I double-majored in business and mechanical engineering for my undergrad.
As far as my job goes, I work for a company as a marketing strategist.
>>718877259
Hence the management position.
>>718869298
>how many exes do you have

>add one more bye
>>718877712
Ok, your job made sense for me but as far as what you're studying it's all gibberish for someone with a simple mind like myself.
>>718877953
Alpha.
>>718877712
I'll be alright, I'll find a job at some point.
If not, I'll get some study.
Also, how bad he was at his job should mean he should NOT have been a manager.
Especially after he had slept with a crew member, while being married and having a child with his wife. It perplexes me how he still had his job after all this.
-Koi
psst
wanna buy some boost
>>718877953
Clever.
>>718878163
It's quite simple with some...explanation. But, in a nutshell, I study how to mathematically model the nervous system in order to create simulations for research purposes.
Do you study anything by any chance? If not, work?
>>718878262
What would you study if it came to that?
>>718878262
Very troubling indeed. But at the very least you have a model example of how NOT to live. Did the crew member he had an affair with keep her job?
>>718877712
>computational neuroscience
>business
>mechanical engineering
>marketing strategist
Sounds like you must be pretty skilled.
>>718877953
Blunt, but I like it... What could possibly go wrong?
>>718878262
>how bad he was at his job should mean he should NOT have been a manager.
Fault lies first with the company that promoted him, and second with him assuming he didn't try to improve from that point on.
>>718878722
I wanna boost against a brick wall, can you do that?
>>718879005
No.
>>718879005
No idea if she kept her job or not, I never saw her at work after she had the kid.
If I were to study, I'd probably go with a metal working course, maybe something else before choosing a trade study. Not truly sure.
>>718879151
The other bad thing about him is his annoying voice, I forgot to mention. Our store was having trouble getting more decent crew and it's just got worse since I quit and moved.

different people like to work at different times. Many people don't like to work at night. (for whatever reason)
>>718879151
Just a bit more than most. But honestly, the diverse education was a result of my indecisiveness during my younger years. Kids that do not have a clear, definitive picture of what they'd like to do have no reason to fear.
The most important part is to get started at all.
>>718879371
Metal working course? Do welding; I hear it pays very well and it sounds like a pretty cool job.
Now then, I'm afraid I must be taking my leave. It's been a pleasure; until next time.

It was for all times of the day, crew just kept leaving and I'm sure I was part of the decision whether people were staying or not.
I was the primary crew who did the overnights and I'd always hear what other people didn't do that I did from my nights, especially things that this manager did on the kitchen overnights I didn't do.
>>718880288
I kinda want to get around to doing more stuff, learning to weld and cut metal is something I'd find use for.
Farewell 2B, if you come across the steam group you'll be able to find me fairly easily.
