Did you buy all that shit just because you wanted a "epic beast pc" or because you needed it? Even if you stream your shitty CS:GO matches you don't need that fucking CPU.

I use it for Photoshop when I design software for my company. I also have HTC VIVE so it helps out a lot.

You still don't need that CPU, but w/e. IMO you should have gotten a normal i7 cause obviously you wont settle for an i5, then spent the money you saved on more ram and storage cause that would help you more for 'work'

Heres a computer inbuilt for my friend who wanted to get a console but convinced him to get a oc.

Just a meager i3 2100, 8gb of ddr4 i don't remember what speed and a gtx 1050 ti. Runs everything, gta v, and battlefield 1 at 60fps on medium high. All about 600.

>>
>>718282669
Windows 7 is better since you can shut down its processes without having them start up again every time you boot up.

If a large company spying on you and selling your data does not bother you, well then it does not matter.
>>
>>718282526
I've got all the calling home shit disabled, at least as much as one can. There's no way in hell I'd use Linux cause I'm a gamer and I've used Windows my whole life, so it's what I'm comfortable with. Windows 10 gets more flak than it should.
>>
>>718283167
You cannot disable it permanently, it reactivates and other windows OS's are arguably better for privacy.

I wish Microsoft made a version of 10 without all the bloat and spyware, I HATE them now. Though I hope for their conscience to return in the future.

I like what they used to be but 10 went beyond breaking my trust.

i7 CPUs are not needed for gaming. Nearly all games do not use hyperthreading. Hyperthreading is the only real difference between i5 and i7. You only really utilize the difference between i5 and i7 if you are doing things like video editing, 3D rendering for modeling and animation etc.

Basically you need to be doing professional workstation grade stuff to utilize an i7.

>>718284007
I think the Windows 10 UI is the best one so far, 7 comes close though.

Here's a pic of a PC I built for my little brothers so they wouldn't be console queers forever. It has an X4-860k OC'd to 4.6GHz, 8GB 1866MHz, 1TB platter, GTX 950, H60 AIO cooler, Core V1 case, and a CX-500 PSU. Powered by Windows 10™

>could land man on the moon

The computers in the Apollo spacecraft had les computing power than a 1990's graphing calculator. A shitty sub $100 cell phone has more computing power than the Apollo ships had.

>all that dust

Put some cheap fan filters on the intake fans. You have to clean them off every couple months but that is easy. You just pop them off and run them under the faucet, let them dry for 10 minutes, and put them back on. Keeps the inside of your computer very clean.
>>
>>718284496
Audiovisual editing and creation along with gaming is what I will use my PC for once I build it.

Yeah, they're also lucky I didn't take everything away after they spilled water on the PC and fried the sound chip on the mobo. It hangs on my wall now. They're also really fucking lucky that I had a spare PC running FM2+ that I could stick the parts into.

What the hell is audiovisual editing and creation though? Like editing videos and music?
>>
>>718285150
Looks great for gaming, if you are doing any video editing I would get 32GB of RAM instead though. If not it is fine.

Yep, it sits high enough that now I'm concerned they might drop it...but hey, breaking shit is a part of learning responsibility, right?

What do you use for making music? I've been wanting to get into FLStudio but I've yet to really dive into it cause I'm an impatient bastard. I do have a basic idea of how to use the program, but I feel like before getting really into it I should maybe learn a bit of music theory or something.
>>
>>718286616
Fasten it down somehow to be sure.

Mixcraft pro studios 7 64 bit version($165.00*USD), FL is good for learning the basics of applied audio engineering, though it does not have enough features to do everything you may desire. Reaper audio is another good DAW too.
>>
>>718286616
Oh, and music theory is important and fairly easy to learn as well. At least the basics are, advanced theory requires knowledge of more advanced mathematics, though some people are naturally gifted and can create beautiful music without any knowledge.

It is an art AND a science.
