I worked in restaurants maybe 10 years when I was 16-26. Tipping is paying for someone's time when they are literally waiting on you hand and foot.

You're doing it to make sure they do a good job, don't spit in your food and give your order a priority. I can tell you right now if I already know someone's not going to tip, all of their orders go to the back of the line, including drink refills. I wasn't a super dick about it, but someone could also let your food get cold ro fuck with you, or mess with you in a million ways. I never got mad at people that don't tip, I just didn't remember them. The guys who tipped 5 bucks, I'd notice them walking back toward the bar and try to have their drink ready by the time they got to me. They'd ask for another and it'd be in their hand before they finished talking. You take care of me, I take care of you. Very simple concept. I Have been to the states, on 5 occasions and different states each time.

Don't even get me started on the hypocrisy of food banks also, when the poor and homeless don't get fuck all from them, because the queues are by families who have people working and they can't afford food because they are buying fucking branded goods.

I literally watched a homeless guy at an Ohio food bank be pushed out the line because he didn't fit in with the working class in the queue. People standing with Raybans, Iphones, MK bags etc all waiting for free food.

And yes I went to a restaurant in another state and was forced to pay fucking 20% tips as it was mandatory in that state.

$80 meal with a friend and I had to pay $16 more in a fucking tip, when my $80's profits for the manager some of which should have went to the wage of the waiting staff, not my fucking $16 extra.

So instead of a restaurant, I went out the following day and bought fresh goods from a local grocer and butcher and made my meals, was 1/3rd cheaper and no fucking tip.
