I guess I was only thinking domestically for the industry. Even then. It really is a dumb habit that I only ever do when I'm out of weed and want something to smoke. When weed gets legalised and all the awareness of smoking out there and literal AA programs for smokers . I could see the industry dying or at least being minimised. Typically smoked Benson and Hedges Smooth back in the day. I also went with Bond Street Blue when I was low on cash, because they could be anywhere from $2-6 cheaper than most other brands while not completely sucking..

I don't remember the prices back when I smoked, but the current recommended retail prices for 25-packs of the brands I mentioned are $22.96 and $28.12 Australian, or round abouts. They keep pushing the tobacco taxes up here to try and deter new smokers, so I'd probably have been paying a good $2-3 less back before I quit.
