Myself, I've spent the past year trying to push myself to do the things I've always known I should do, but never did. Just let each day slip by as it was so much easier and, in my mind, more enjoyable to do so. Here comes a new year, and I'm trying yet again... though this time I'm lucky enough to have found someone to help. So fuck it. Maybe have a little hope. Pad out my CV, apply to a couple hundred jobs, and find something more stable outside of my stagnated little startup. Finish my japanese language studies so I can head back to school to get my teaching certificate, so I can finally get out of this sinking country, and try and be the man I wanted to be before everything comes to an end.

That's the sort of thing I mean :P At least, you did post something for us to watch, so you're not exactly anonymous. Who are you OP?

oh. i have always attempted to do everything i can do. but i always fall short of being able to do enough. so for this reason i feel like i failed everyone. but i refused to accept help because i didn't want to seem greedy or like i'm doing it for money. but everyone asks for it. so i'll probably do it. but if it gets a negative response or if everyone doesn't like it then i won't do it. then i'll go back to attempting to do it myself. but that may take along time. - that's awesome. i'm glad you're doing it. probably have someone to help you with your japanese studies. i actually wanted to do that a long time ago. i'm still interested. it's just not my focus right now. before everything comes to an end? it's happening? it's happening. so. i know this is like really stereotypical and obvious and you'll probably be like "i know" but advice i got before was... No, unfortunately I'm alone in my work, whether that be my programming (our startup is myself on the backend and an old roommate on the front end... and he's full time currently at another startup, so really, it's just me answering to the CEO), and language studies are just something I used to care deeply about and decided that I should continue it. To be perfectly honest, 25 out of 30 days I don't give a shit about either. That's the problem with my current condition - it's not so much sadness as it is a lack of motivation or care. It helps to have someone that you don't want to let down... Helps to make those 25 days a little easier to get done what actually needs to get done, rather than just going through the bare minimum motions to get by. Though we'll see. She's much like me, and really needs my support as well. Scares the hell out of me to think that I may not be able to give her what she needs, because at the end of the day it's precisely what I need. Reminder that I should bear the hell down and focus. Doesn't matter what I feel. I once dreamed of something so much more than I am, and if I ever want to get there, I know what I need to do.

Sorry, It's a little difficult for me to understand your problem... But I think I can. Maybe unrealistic expectations for getting done what needs to get done, thinking that it really is the world, when it's just today and tomorrow. I will just say that help can come in more ways than just money - a reminder of what you should be doing has done wonders for me. Shame helps, while it hurts.

Thank you :) I'm barely doing it, but it's a new year, a new time. Find two things, and dedicate an hour each day to both of them. Increase that time by 10 minutes each day until you reach 4 hours. Like a Katamari, build it up. Will continue in another post.
