Personally I started doing acid when I was 21 and for 2 years I did it very regularly and with pretty large doses. Obviously not every single week without fail, but I must have done it 70+ times over the course of those two years. If it didn't have such a rapid tolerance increase after every use, and if it wasn't so hard to come by, I can't really say I wouldn't be tempted to do it daily. I just seem to get massive anxiety. I start becoming hyper critical of everything I do and say and think about all the possible ways anyone else I'm with must be "viewing" me at that moment. If I'm by myself I don't really get the anxiety, but my senses become hypersensitive instead. Kind of like what salvia does. I feel all sorts of tiny itches or spots of sore muscle that just leave me entirely unable to focus on anything else or enjoy any aspects of the high.

It never happens when I mix weed with other substances. Weed and LSD, or weed and shrooms, or any other combination doesn't do that to me, but if I do just weed and nothing else it's not fun in the least.

It feels better when you come to expect the feelings it brings. It's like the anticipation is as much reward. I would often feel better after getting home off work and grinding up and loading a bowl or blunt, then I'd just sit there reveling that I already felt great and I hadn't even smoked it yet. It's really enjoyable when you do it alongside life vacation gluttony, sitting around in a hole for days on end playing video games or whatever.

It's really not as great if you just do it once out of the blue, and a lot of people with no tolerance or regularity built up just get anxious and start making social faux pas then turning them over in their heads. I can't smoke any more because it's very much worth the job I now have. Not such a big deal anyway. I always thought weed junkies were the worst kinds of people. You know the ones who keep coming back to get price gouged on a gram every time they get a little money in their pocket and then run short on bills at the end of the month.

my personal experience with weed:

Now that I'm remembering the DXM/nitrous combination I'm starting to remember other things that happened too. I remember the DXM headspace would envelop my entire brain right up until I'd start hitting the balloon. As soon as the nitrous would hit the headspace would 'slide over' for lack of a better term until it only occupied one half of my head. This best explains my experience with it. Although when I first felt the intense high of it it didn't give me anxiety. Only happened later and continued. Idk what happened in my life to change it from nothing to critical over thinking and paranoia even around the closest of friends.

I can only really do it by myself, like you said, that increases my senses and creativity. I would mess around with my electric or acoustic guitar while high and shred that bitch better than I ever could sober. I'd also get way better at video games as well but depending on what games. Fighting games is sometimes a hit and miss.

I did notice though that for some games and certain activities I would do would bore me extremely unless I was high on weed. I use to take medication for ADD so I'm guessing that's my issue, which leads me to believe weed helps with it.

different strains do different things. it can make you feel buzzed, tired, hungry, energetic, happy, relaxing, can numb pain etc.

indica strains give you that "trippy" feeling

sativas usually help with medical problems from what i have felt, usually feel hungry, tired and muscle/joint pains go away, but right strains can give you really strong body buzz.

hybrid strains vary, you can have more sativa high with a small mix of indica, or the opposite.

also smoking bud vs shit trimmings matter, i don't smoke either, just concentrates, which is basically concentrated THC in an oily form.

I suck balls at games like Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc. But I remember getting high with a buddy once, who is great at them, and somehow for like 20 minutes after the high kicked in, I was so good that I won each match flawlessly within the first 15 seconds or so. I wasn't even making conscious decisions about what button I was pressing, but somehow I was forming massive combos entirely subconsciously, and just reacting. Although I'm pretty sure that was spice rather than actual weed, but at the least it was still a cannibinoid. Never happened again sadly, but it was pretty awesome when it happened.

Anyhow to address the rest of your post, I'm pretty sure it's some sort of hypersensitivity towards weed in my case. My dad and brother both say the exact same shit happens to them, i.e. crippling anxiety, getting massively high off just one hit, etc. My sisters on the other hand seem to experience it normally. So I'm inclined to say it might be a genetic thing. Some people just don't react well to certain drugs.

When I was 16 I attempted to smoke several times over the course of a couple months to no result before I actually managed to get stoned. Then when it finally happened it was insane, very hazy and trippy to the point where I was imagining all kinds of odd visuals and having trouble distinguishing them from reality.
Now I'm 20 and it's easily my drug of choice, I've smoked roughly every day for over a year and all it really does at this point is mellow me out and give me a body buzz, I'm naturally depressed and anxious and pot helps me forget about it and allows me to be content & relaxed doing nothing, it's been a very long time since I've experienced an intense high. I like how mild it is, it's enough of an effect to change my perspective and enhance my enjoyment of stuff while not being enough to impair me, I can do anything stoned.

This is my experience with weed too. When I was younger I'd get huge panic attacks and have to lay in bed for hours to try to chill out. Now I still get the hyper critical thought processes and itchy spots but less of the panic attacks.
